Aur jo log iman laye aur nek amal karte rahe, unn ko (Aye Nabi (صلى الله عليه وسلم) khush-khabri suna dijiye ke, unn ke liye aise baghaat hain jin ke neeche nehrein beh rahi hain, jab bhi unhe wahan kisi qism ka mewah khaane ko diya jayega, to wo kahenge ke, ye to wohi hai jo hume pehle bhi diya gaya tha, aur wahan unn ko ek doosre ke hum shakal mewe diye jayenge aur unn ke liye paak biwiyaan hongi, aur wo uss me rahenge hamesha hamesha.

116. JANNAAT (Gardens) ( جَنَّاتٍ ( ج ن ن 2:25 – Part 6

Lafz-e-Jannat par ahadith ke chhette hisse me;

  • Ek hadith me Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya ke, jahannam ko har qism ki khwaheshaat aur shehwaton se ghayr diya gaya hai, jab ke jannat museebaton se ghayr di gayi hai.[1]
    • Ek hadith-e-Qudsi me iss ki tafseel aayi hai ke, Allah Ta’ala ne jannat aur jahannam ko paida karne ke baad, Jibreel (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَام) se kaha ke jao aur jannat ko dekh kar aao,
    • Jibreel (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَام) jannat ko dekh kar aane ke baad Allah (رَبُّ الْعِزَّة) ko report karte hain ke, Teri izzat ki qasam, jo koi iss ke baare me sunega, iss me dakhil ho jayega.
    • Allah Ta’ala hukum dete hain ke, iss ko mushkilon se ghayr do,
    • Jibreel (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَام) ko hukum hota hai ke, ab wapas ja kar jannat ko dekh aao, aur wo dekhte hain ke, jannat ko ab mushkilaat se ghayr diya gaya hai,
    • Aur Allah Ta’ala ko report karte hain ke, Teri izzat ki qasam, ab mujhe darr hai ke, iss me koi dakhil nahi ho payega.
    • Phir Allah (رَبُّ الْعِزَّة) hukum dete hain ke, ab ja kar dozakh ko dekh aao, Jibreel (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَام) dozakh ko dekhte hain ke wo tay-ba-tay layers me hai, wapas aate hain,
    • Aur Allah Ta’ala ko report karte hain ke, Teri izzat ki qasam, jo koi iss ke baare me sunega, koi iss me dakhil nahi hoga,
    • Allah Ta’ala hukum dete hain ke, dozakh ko lazzaton se ghayr do, phir hukum dete hain ke, ab ja kar dozakh ko dekh aao,
    • Jibreel (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَام) aa kar report karte hain ke, ab dozakh se koi nahi bach sakta.[2]
    • Ek hadith me aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya ke maine jannat ko dekha aur uss me logon ki aksariyat ghareebon ki thi, aur maine jahannam ko dekha to uss me aksariyat auraton ki thi.[3]
  • Jab Ibn-e-Adam Surah as-Sajdah tilawat karta hai aur sajdah karta hai to shaitan rotay huwe peechhe hatt jata hai, aur kehta hai ke, afsos! Ibn-e-adam ko sajday ka hukum huwa aur uss ne sajdah kiya to jannat me ajr payega, aur mujhe sajday ka hukum huwa aur maine inkaar kiya, to jahannam ki saza paoonga.[4]
  • Ek hadith me farmaya ke, tum me se har ek ke liye jannat uss ke jootay ke pattay se bhi zyada qareeb hai aur jahannam bhi.[5]
  • Ek waqt, Hanzala Usaidi (رضي الله عنه) Abu Bakr (رضي الله عنه) ke sath Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) se milay aur kaha ke, Hanzala munafiq ho gaya hai,
    • Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne poochha, wo kya mamela hai?
    • Jab hum aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ke sath hotay hain, aur aap hume Jannat aur dozakh ke baare me batate hain, aur hume aisa lagne lagta hai ke, hum inn dono ko apni aankhon se dekh rahe hon.
    • Phir jab hum apne biwi – bachhon aur kheti baadi me aur doosre kaamo me masroof ho jaate hain aur ye sab batein bhool jatay hain,
    • Iss par Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne teen baar farmaya, uss zaat ki qasam jis ke hath me meri jaan hai! Agar tum hamesha ussi kaifiyat me raho, jis tarah mere paas hotay waqt rehti hai aur zikr me lagay raho, to tumhare bichhono par aur tumhare raaston me farishte aa kar tum se musafa karenge, hath milayege,
    • Lekin Aye Hanzala! Koi ghadi kisi tarah hoti hai aur koi ghadi kisi aur tarah ki hoti hai.[6]
  • Bukhari ki ek hadith me farmaya ke, ahle iman ko dozakh ki aag se najat dene ke baad ek pull par rok diya jayega, jo jannat aur dozakh ke beech me hoga,
    • Wahan, wo iss duniya me jo ek doosre ke sath honay wali na-insafiyon ko bayan karenge, aur ek doosre se badla lenge,
    • Jab wo inn gunahon se paak ho jayenge, to unhe jannat me dakhil honay ki ijazat di jayegi,
    • Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya ke, uss ki qasam jis ke hath me meri jaan hai, unn me se har ek jannat me apne muqaam se, iss duniya me apne muqaam se zyada waqif hoga.[7]

Jannat kaisi hai, iss ke baare me ye ahadith aa rahi hain;

  • To sab se pehli baat Jannat ke baare me, jo hum ne suni wo ye thi ke, wahan maut nahi hogi,
  • Aur na neend hogi, ek hadith me Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) se poochha gaya ke, kya jannati soyenge, yani kya unhe jannat me neend ayegi ya nahi?
    • Iss par Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya ke, maut ka bhai neend hai aur jannatiyon ko maut nahi hai.[8]
    • Matlab ye ke, jannat me neend bhi nahi ayegi.
  • Ek hadith me aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya ke, Allah Ta’ala farmata hai ke, maine apne nek bandon ke liye, wo cheez tayyar kar rakhi hai – jo na kisi aankh ne dekha hoga, aur na kisi kaan ne suna hoga, aur na kisi insaan ke dil-o-dimagh me uss ka tasawwur hoga.[9]
  • Jannat ke 8 darwaaze hain, jis me ek darwaza khaas hai, rozedaaron ke liye jisay ar-Rayyan kaha jaata hai.[10]
    • Qiyamat ke din pukara jayega, kahan hai wo log jo roza rakhte thay, kya tum ar-Rayyan se dakhil hona chahoge?
    • Jo koi iss darwaze se dakhil hoga, usay phir kabhi pyaas nahi lagegi,
    • Aur jab rozedaar uss se dakhil ho jayenge, uss darwaze ko bandh kar diya jayega, aur phir uss se koi aur dakhil nahi hoga.[11]
  • Jannat me,
    • 100 darje hain, aur har darje ke beech me itna faasla hai, jitna 100 saal ka safar karne me lagte hain.[12]
    • Ek aur hadith me farmaya ke, jannat zameen aur aasmaan ke beech ke faasle jitni badi hai.[13]
    • Har darakht ka tana sonay se bana huwa hoga.[14]
    • Ek darakht hoga, jis ke saye me ek safar karne wala, 100 saal tak safar karta chala jayega, aur uss darakht ka saya khatam nahi hoga,
    • Jannat me, paani ka darya hai, shehad ka darya hai, yani river of honey, doodh ka darya hai, river of milk, aur sharaab ka darya hai, river of wine, jannatiyon ke jannat me dakhil hone ke baad, inn daryaon ki nehrein niklengi.[15]
    • Jannat me, ek kamaan ke barabar jagah behtar hai, jis par sooraj tulu ya ghuroob hota hai, yani iss duniya se behtar hai.[16]
    • Ek aur hadith me farmaya ke, jannat me, ek koday ke barabar jagah behtar hai iss duniya se aur jo kuch iss me hai.[17]
    • Ek aur hadith me farmaya ke, ek nakhoon bhar ke bhi Jannat agar zameen aur aasmaan ke darmiyan aa jaye, to unn ko decorate ya muzayyan kar de, aur agar koi jannat me rehne wala bahar jhaanke aur uss ke hath ka kada dikhayi de jaye, to wo suraj ki roshni ko uss tarah chhupa dega, jis tarah suraj ki roshni, taaron ki roshni ko din me madham kar deti hai.[18]
    • Jannat me, jannatiyon ke koi baal nahi honge, dadhi nahi hogi, unn ki aankhein surmay se saji hongi, aur wo jawan honge, 30 ya 33 saal ki umar hogi.[19]
    • Ek momin ke liye moti se bana huwa khaima hoga, jis ki lambai 60 meel ki hogi, uss ke har konay me uss ke ghar walay honge, jo doosron ko nahi dikhenge, aur momin unn sab ke paas aata jaata rahega.
    • Aur uss ke liye do baagh honge, jis ke bartan aur jo kuch unn dono me hai wo chandi ka hoga,
    • Mazeed aur do baagh honge, jis ke bartan aur jo kuch unn dono me hai wo sonay se bana hoga.
    • Jannatiyon aur unn ke Rabb, unn ke paalne walay malik ke beech me sirf greatness ya kibriyayi ki chadar hogi, aur ye jannat-e-adan me hoga.[20]
    • Jo sab se ooncha darja jannat me hoga, usay al-Firdaus al-A’la kaha jata hai, Jannatul Firdaus, jo sab se behtareen jannat hogi.[21]
    • Ek aur hadith me aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya ke, Jannat me 100 darje hain,
    • Kisi bhi do darjon ke beech, zameen aur aasmaan jitna faasla hai,
    • Al-Firdaus, wo jannat hai jis me se 4 nadiyan behti hain, aur ye sab se oonchi jannat hai,
    • Iss jannat ke ooper Arsh-e-Ilahi hai,
    • To Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya ke, jab bhi Allah se jannat maango to al-Firdaus maango.[22]
    • al-Kawthar bhi jannat ka ek darya hai, Tirmidhi ki ek hadith me Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya ke, jannat me maine ek darya dekha, jis ke kinaare moti se banay huwe thay, maine poochha, Aye Jibreel ye kya hai? Jibreel (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَام) ne farmaya, ye al-Kauthar hai, jo Allah ne aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ko ata ki hai.[23]
    • Ek aur hadith me farmaya ke, al-Kauthar ke kinaare sonay se banay huwe hain aur wo motiyon aur jawahiraat par behti hai aur uss ki mitti musk se bani huwi hai, uss ka paani doodh se zyada safed hai aur shehad se zyada meettha hai.[24]
    • Jaisa ke Surah al-Kauthar me aya hai, Inna aatainaka al-Kauthar, humne aap ko al-Kauthar ata ki hai.
    • Sawal huwa, al-Kauthar ke bartano ke baare me, to Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya ke, Allah ki qasam jis ke qabze me meri jaan hai, al-Kauthar ke bartan itne honge ke, sitaaron ki tedaad se zyada honge.[25]
    • Iss ka hum andaza bhi nahi kar sakte, jitni door hum dekh sakte hain, uss me 2 trillion galaxies hain.
    • Aur har ek galaxy me kum-az-kum 200 billion sitaare hain.
    • To, kul mila kar 200 billion trillion sitaare hain yani 2 ke baad 23 tewees zero lagayenge
    • 1 billion – ek arab yani 100 crore hotay hain
    • 1 trillion – 10 kharab hote hain, ya ek lakh crore,
    • To, 200 arab kharab sitaare hain,
    • Ye to hum dekh sakte hain, jo nahi dikhta wo iss se bhi zyada hai
    • Aur iss hadith me Allah ke Rasool (صلى الله عليه وسلم) farma rahe hain ke, al-Kauthar ke bartan aasmaan me sitaaron se bhi zyada honge, jo uss kaali raat ko dikhayi dete hain, jab koi badal bhi nahi hotay.
    • Ye jannat ke bartan honge, aur jo bhi iss me se paani piyega, to phir uss ko pyaas nahi lagaygi.
    • Main samajhta hoon ke, iss hadith me width batayi ja rahi hai,
    • Baaz ahadtih me, aur bhi distances aaye hain, aur mere nazdeek ye lambai bayan ki ja rahi hai,

Aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne jawab dete huwe farmaya ke, ye unn logon ke liye honge, jo logon se achi baat karta ho, logon ko khana khilata ho, aur raat ko Allah ki ibadat karta hai jab log so rahe hote hain.[34]
    • Ek aur hadith me aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya ke, jannat me kaafi jagah hogi, yahan tak ke Allah Ta’ala nayi khilqat paida karenge, jannat me khaali jagah ko occupy karne ke liye.[35]

    • Jannat ki mitti ke baare me farmaya ke, wo chhane huwe aattay ki tarah safed hogi, aur musk ki yani mishq ki khushboo aa rahi hogi.[38]
  • Jo log shaheed ho jaate hain, unn ki roohein jannat me sabz rang ke parindon ke paytt me hoti hai, aur
    • unn ki qandeelein arsh-e-ilaahi ke sath muallaq ya lattak rahi hain, aur
    • Wo jannat ke mewon se, jahan se chahte hain khaate hain, phir unhi qandeelon me wapas aa jaate hain,
    • Phir unn ka Rabb, unn ka paalne wala malik unn ki taraf dekh kar farmata hai ke, kya tum kisi cheez ki khwahesh rakhte ho?
    • Wo kehte hain ke, hum kis cheez ki khwahesh rakhein, hum jannat me jahan chahein jaate aur wahan se mann pasand cheezen khaate hain,
    • Teen baar yehi sawal-o-jawab hone ke baad, wo dekhte hain ke iss ka jawab unhe dena hi padega, to wo kehte hain ke, ya Rabb – hum chahte hain ke, hamari roohein hamare jismo me wapas kar de taakay hum teri raah me phir se shaheed kar diye jayen,
    • Jab Allah Ta’ala dekhte hain ke, unn ki koi hajat nahi hai, to wo unhe chhorrh deta hai.[39]
  • Jannat walon ki 120 ek sau bees saffein hongi, 80 iss ummat ki hongi aur 40 baqaya ummaton ki hongi.[40]

    • Jo sab se chhotta moti wo pehni hogi, uss ki chamak mashriq aur maghrib ke darmiyan ki jagah ko roshan kar de,

    • Wo aurat jawab degi ke, main extras me se hoon aur uss ke jism par 70 libaas honge, aur uss shakhs ki nazar unn sattar libaas se guzarti huwi uss ki pindli ke gooday ko dekh legi,

    • Agar tumne khwahish ki ke, laal yaqoot ya Red Ruby se banay ghoday hon, to wo bhi tumhe diye jayenge, jis par tum udhte phiroge.[49]
    • Tirmidhi ki hadith, farmaya Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne ke, Jannat me agar koi chahega ke uss ko bachhe ho, to uss ki paidaish ke process se le kar wo bada honay tak ka saara mamela ek ghantte me poora ho jayega, jaisa wo chahega.[50]
    • Abhi hum ne suna ke, jannat me jagah hi jagah hogi, aur extra logon ko paida kiya jayega, uss ko bharne ke liye.[51]
  • Jannatiyon se kaha jayega ke, Allah ka tum se wada hai, jo wo poora karna chahta hai, to jannati bolenge ke,
    • kya Allah Ta’ala ne hamare nek amaal ka wazan zyada nahi kar diya?
    • kya Allah Ta’ala ne hamare chehron ko roshan nahi kar diya?
    • Aur jannat me dakhil kar diya aur dozakh ki aag se bacha liya,

    • To wo Allah Ta’ala se maangta chala jayega,
    • Phir Allah Ta’ala uss se poochhenge, kya teri khwaheshaat khatam ho gayee? Wo kahega, haan.

    • Aur jo koi burai karna chahta hai, wo uss se bacha rahe,
    • Baaz logon ko dozakh ki aag se bacha liya jata hai, aur ye Ramadan ki har raat ko hota rehta hai.[55]

[2] On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said:When Allah created Paradise and Hell-fire, He sent Gabriel to Paradise, saying: Look at it and at what I have prepared therein for its inhabitants. The Prophet (pbuh) said: So he came to it and looked at it and at what Allah had prepared therein for its inhabitants. The Prophet (pbuh) said: So he returned to Him and said: By your glory, no one hears of it without entering it. So He ordered that it be encompassed by forms of hardship, and He said: Return to it and look at what I have prepared therein for its inhabitants. The Prophet (pbuh) said: So he returned to it and found that it was encompassed by forms of hardship (1). Then he returned to Him and said: By Your glory, I fear that no one will enter it. He said: Go to Hell-fire and look at it and what I have prepared therein for its inhabitants, and he found that it was in layers, one above the other. Then he returned to Him and said: By Your glory, no one who hears of it will enter it. So He ordered that it be encompassed by lusts. Then He said: Return to it. And he returned to it and said: By Your glory, I am frightened that no one will escape from entering it.

[6] Hanzala Usayyidi, who was amongst the scribes of Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him). reported:I met Abu Bakr. He said: Who are you? He (Hanzala) said: Hanzala has turned to be a hypocrite. He (Abu Bakr) said: Hallowed be Allah, what are you saying? Thereupon he said: I say that when we are in the company of Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) we ponder over Hell-Fire and Paradise as if we are seeing them with our very eyes and when we are away from Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) we attend to our wives, our children, our business; most of these things (pertaining to After-life) slip out of our minds. Abu Bakr said: By Allah, I also experience the same. So I and Abu Bakr went to Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) and said to him: Allah’s Messenger, Hanzala has turned to be a hypocrite. Thereupon Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: What has happened to you? I said: Allah’s Messenger, when we are in your company, we are reminded of Hell-Fire and Paradise as if we are seeing them with our own eyes, but whenever we go away from you and attend to our wives, children and business, much of these things go out of our minds. Thereupon Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: By Him in Whose Hand is my life, if your state of mind remains the same as it is in my presence and you are always busy in remembrance (of Allah), the Angels will shake hands with you in your beds and in your paths but, Hanzala, time should be devoted (to the worldly affairs) and time (should be devoted to prayer and meditation). He (the Holy Prophet) said this thrice.

[20] Abu Musa reported God’s messenger as saying, “In paradise the believer will have a tent of a single hollowed pearl whose breadth (a version saying, whose length) is sixty miles, in each corner of which there will be a family out of sight of one another, each of which the believer will visit in turn. He will also have two gardens whose vessels and contents will be of silver and two gardens whose vessels and contents will be of gold. The only thing intervening to hinder the people from looking at their Lord will be the mantle of grandeur over His face in the garden of Eden.” [Bukhari and Muslim]

[22] `Ubada b. as-Samit reported God’s messenger as saying, “In paradise there are a hundred stages between each two of which there is a distance like that between heaven and earth. Al-Firdaus from which issue the four rivers of paradise is the highest of them, and above it is the Throne; so, when you make request from God ask Him for al-Firdaus.” [Tirmidhi transmitted it. I have not found it in the two Sahihs or al-Humaidi’s book. In Masabih as-sunna the source of each individual tradition is not given but those in section 1 are all called sahih and come from Bukhari or Muslim, or from both. One therefore does not expect to find a tradition from Tirmidhi in section 1. It occurs in his collection in Sifat al janna, 4. In Masabih as-sunna it does not say that this tradition comes from ‘Ubada, but the Mishkat is correct in attributing it to him. There is one like it from Abu Huraira in Bukhari, jihad, 4, but the wording is not identical]

[25] Abu Dharr said:Allah’s Messenger, what about the vessels of that Cistern? He said: By Him in Whose Hand is the life of Muhammad, the vessels would outnumber the stars in the sky and its planets shining on a dark cloudless night. These would be the vessels of Paradise. He who drinks out of it (the Cistern) would never feel thirsty. There would flow in it two spouts from Paradise and he who would drink out of it would not feel thirsty; and the distance between its (two corners) is that between ‘Amman and Aila, and its water is whiter than milk and sweeter than honey.

Mas’ud about this verse, “Do not consider those who have been killed in God’s path to be dead; nay, they are alive in the presence of their Lord and are being supplied with provision” (Al-Qur’an; 3:169). He replied that he had asked about that, and the Prophet said, “Their spirits are in the crops of green birds which have lamps suspended from the Throne, which go where they wish in paradise and then return to those lamps. Their Lord looks down on them and asks whether they desire anything, and they ask in reply what they could wish when they can go where they like in paradise. He does that with them three times, and when they see that they will not be left alone without asking something, they tell their Lord that they wish Him to return their spirits to their bodies so that they may be killed in His path once again. [42] Muhammad reported that some (persons) stated with a sense of pride and some discussed whether there would be more men in Paradise or more women. It was upon this that Abu Huraira reported that Abu’l Qasim (the Holy Prophet) (may peace be upon him) said:The (members) of the first group to get into Paradise would have their faces as bright as full moon during the night, and the next to this group would have their faces as bright as the shining stars in the sky, and every person would have two wives and the marrow of their shanks would glimmer beneath the flesh and there would be none without a wife in Paradise.

They would neither pass water, nor void excrement, nor will they suffer from catarrh, nor will they spit, and their combs would be made of gold, and their sweat will be musk, the fuel of their brazier will be aloes, and their wives will be large-eyed maidens and their form would be alike as one single person after the form of their father (Adam) sixty cubits tall.

[44] Abu Sa’id al-Khudri reported God’s messenger as saying, “On the day of resurrection the earth will be one piece of bread which the Almighty will turn in His hand, as one of you turns his loaf while travelling, to be food provided for the inhabitants of paradise.” A Jew then came and said, “May the Compassionate One bless you, Abul Qasim! Shall I not tell you the food provided on the day of resurrection for those who will go to paradise?” Receiving the reply, “Certainly,” he said, “The earth will be one piece of bread as the Prophet has said.” The Prophet then looked at the people and laughed so that his molar teeth were visible, and the Jew said, “Shall I not tell you what they will have to season it t It will be balam[*] and fish.” He was asked what that wis and replied that it was an ox and a fish from whose excessive livers seventy thousand would eat.

*This word which is explained as meaning an ox is mentioned in Taj al-‘arus in connection with this tradition as a Hebrew word, but that is probably because a Jew used it and had to be asked what it meant. There seems to be no justification for calling it Hebrew. [Bukhari and Muslim]

They will say: O our Lord, we present ourselves and are at Your pleasure, and goodness rests in Your hands. Then He will say: Are you contented? And they will say: And how should we not be contented, O Lord, when You have given to us that which You have given to no one else of Your creation? Then He will say: Would you not like Me to give you something better than that? And they will say: O Lord and what thing is better than that? [54] Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) said:The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, “The lowest place of any of you in Jannah will be that Allah will tell him to express his wish. He will wish and wish again. Allah will then ask him: ‘Have you expressed your wish?’ He will answer: ‘Yes, I have.’ Allah will say: ‘You will have what you have wished for and the like thereof along with it.” [Muslim]

[55] Abu Huraira reported God’s messenger as saying, “When the first night of Ramadan comes the devils and the rebellious jinn are chained, the gates of hell are locked and not one of them is opened; the gates of paradise are opened and not one of them is locked, and a crier calls, ‘You who desire what is good, come forward, and you who desire evil refrain.’ Some are freed from hell by God, and that happens every night.” [Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah transmitted it, and Ahmad transmitted it from a man. [i.e. an unspecified person.] Tirmidhi said this is a gharib tradition.
