Tarjuma wa Tafseer

Vs. No. 25

Aur jo log iman laye aur nek amal karte rahe, unn ko (Aye Nabi (صلى الله عليه وسلم) khush-khabri suna dijiye ke, unn ke liye aise baghaat hain jin ke neeche nehrein beh rahi hain, jab bhi unhe wahan kisi qism ka mewah khaane ko diya jayega, to wo kahenge ke, ye to wohi hai jo hume pehle bhi diya gaya tha, aur wahan unn ko ek doosre ke hum shakal mewe diye jayenge aur unn ke liye paak biwiyaan hongi, aur wo uss me rahenge hamesha hamesha.

Iss ayat me samajhne ke 10 alfaaz me se hum, Bash-shir, Utoo, Amiloo ki tafseel sunn chuke hain, aur aaj Lafz-e-Jannaat ka doosra hissa hum bayan karenge,

116. JANNAAT (Gardens) ( جَنَّاتٍ ( ج ن ن 2:25 – Part 2

Lafz-e-Jannat par ahadith me;

  • Ibn Majah ki hadith, Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya, tum me se aisa koi nahi jis ke do tthikaane na hon, ek tthikana jannat me aur doosra tthikana jahannam me, agar wo marr jaye aur jahannam me dakhil kar diya jaye, to jannat walay uss ke tthikaane ke waris honge. Issi liya Allah Ta’ala ne Quran me, Surah al-Mominoon[1] me farmaya, “Yehi wo log hain jo waris honge”[2]
  • Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) se poochha gaya ke, jannat me kaun dakhil honge?
    • Aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya, anbiya (عَلَيْهِم ٱلسَّلَام) dakhil honge,
      • Ek aur hadith me aya hai ke, Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ko jannat-e-adan dikhayi gayee aur aap se kaha gaya ke, ye aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ke rehne ki jagah hai.[3]
      • Aur ye wo jannat hai, jis me rehne walay jab chahe jab Allah (رَبُّ الْعِزَّة) ko dekh sakte hain,
      • Siway, ye ke, Allah ke chehre par azmat ka parda pada ho.[4]
      • Ek aur hadith me Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya ke, Jannat ke darwaze par sab se pehle main pahunchunga aur usay kholne ki darkhast karoonga, mujh se poochha jayega ke, aap kaun hain. Main kahoonga: Muhammad,…, (صلى الله عليه وسلم). Kaha jayega ke, Hume hukum huwa hai ke, aap se pehle kisi aur ke liye ye darwaza na khola jaye.[5]
      • To Jannat me anbiya dakhil honge, phir aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya ke, Shuhadaa jannat me dakhil honge,
      • Godh ke, doodh peete bachhe dakhil honge,
      • Aur jo bachhe zinda dafan kar diye gaye,…, jannat me dakhil honge.[6]
    • Ek aur hadith me aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya ke, jo koi Allah Ta’ala se milega bina shirk kiye, wo jannat me dakhil kar diya jayega.[7]
    • Chahe uss ne kabeera gunah kiya ho, lekin shirk nahi kiya, to wo jannat me dakhil kiya jayega.[8] Ye kaise hoga, iss ki tafseel hum baad me dekhenge…
    • Ek aur hadith me farmaya ke, jo pakke yaqeen ke sath La ilaha illah Allah ki shahadat de, wo jannat me dakhil kar diya jayega.[9]
    • Phir farmaya, Musalmaan hi jannat me dakhil honge aur aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya ke, tum log yani ke ummat-e-Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) jannat ke logon ki adhi tedaad me honge.[10]
      • Yani jannat ka 50% population hum log honge,
      • Musalmano ko Quran me hukum huwa hai ke, wo Allah ki rassi ko pakde rahe aur firqon me divide na hon, issi silsilay me ek hadith milti hai ke, Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya ke, Khabadaar! Tum se pehle, Ahle kitab bahattar 72 firqon me batt gaye, aur meri ye ummat tirehattar 73 firqon me batt jayegi, unn me se bahattar dozakh me jayenge aur ek firqa hi jannat me jayega, aur ye firqa majority me hoga.[11]
      • Jis musalman ke do nek peshwa honge, yani aba wa ajdad meri ummat me se honge, Allah usay jannat me dakhil kar dega, poochha gaya ke, jis ka ek hi ho tabh bhi, Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya haan tabh bhi, phir sawal huwa ke, jis ke baap dada aap ki ummat me se nahi thay to uss ka kya hoga, Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya, unn ka peshwa, unn ka leader main hoon, wo mujh se zyada kisi aur ke guzar jaane ka ghum nahi utthayenge.[12]
    • Bukhari aur Muslim ki ek hadith me aya hai ke, Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya ke meri ummat ke 70 hazar log ya 7 lakh log ek sath jannat me dakhil honge, rawi ko yaad nahi raha ke wo 70 thousand hain ya 700 thousand hain unn ke chehre chaudhwi ke chand ki tarah roshan honge.[13]
      • Bukhari aur Muslim ki ek aur hadith me farmaya ke, 70 hazar log meri ummat ke, bina kisi hisab ke jannat me dakhil kiye jayenge, ye wo log hain jo Ruqya nahi karte thay, aur har cheez me bura shugun nahi dhoondte thay aur wo Rabb yani ke, apne paalne walay malik par bharosa karte hain.[14]
      • Yahan sonch kar dekhiye, hum log aaj kya kar rahe hain, har cheez par shak karte hain, sonchte hain ke kisi ne jaadu kara diya hai,
      • Insaan ki taqdeer achi bhi hai aur buri bhi hai, aur dono par hume iman lana hai, iss ki tafseel hum lafz-e-qadar me sunn chuke hain, jo inn tamam cheezon se aur bad-shuguni nikaalne se bacha raha,
      • Aur khaas taur se, Allah par poora bharosa rakha, wo inn 70 hazar me hoga,
      • Dekha jaye to 70 hazar bohot hi kum number hai, issi silsile me Ibn Majah aur Tirmidhi ki ahadith me ye alfaaz hain ke, 70 hazar log meri ummat ke, jannat me honge. Har ek hazar ke sath 70 hazar honge aur Allah ke naap ke hisaab se 3 naap bhar ke logon ko bhi jannat me dakhil kiya jayega.[15]
      • Iss aitebaar se, 4.9 Million log hote hain, 70 x 70,000 kitne hote hain, hisab laga lijiye,
      • Phir kaha ke, Allah ke naap ke hisaab se 3 naap bhar kar jannat me dakhil kiye jayenge,
      • Ab iss ka hisaab lagana mushkil hai, ke Allah ka naap kitna hai?
    • Tirmidhi ki ek hadith me farmaya ke, jis kisi ne halal ya tayyab khana khaya, aur sunnat ke mutabiq amal kiya aur log uss ke shar se mehfooz rahe, usay jannat me dakhil kar diya jayega…[16]
    • Wo miya biwi jannat me dakhil honge, jin ke teen bachhe baligh hone se pehle inteqaal kar gaye, Allah Ta’ala unn par apni rehmat se unhe jannat me dakhil karega, yani unn bachhon ko aur unn ke walidain sab ko jannat me dakhil karega.[17]
      • Ek aur hadith me aya hai ke, kisi aurat ne utth kar sawal kar liya ke, do ka inteqaal ho gaya taabh bhi? Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya, haan do bachhon ka inteqaal ho gaya ho tabh bhi.[18]
    • Ek aur hadith me aya hai ke, ek group unn me mard bhi honge aur auratein bhi, jin ke dil parindon ki manind honge, unhe jannat me dakhil kiya jayega.[19]
      • Ek interpretation iss ka ye hai ke, ye log Allah par bharosa karne walay honge.
      • Doosra interpretation ye hai ke, ye log narm dil honge.
      • Wallahu Alam.
    • Jo shakhs kisi bimar se milne jata hai raat ke waqt, to 70 hazar farishte uss ki maghfirat ki dua karte rehte hain, subah honay tak,
      • Aur jo subah me bimar se milne jata hai to raat tak 70 hazar farishte uss ki maghfirat ki dua karte rehte hain.[20]
      • aur usay jannat me ek baagh diya jayega.[21]
      • Allah ke siway kisi aur ki ibadat nahi karenge,
      • Chori nahi karenge,
      • Zina nahi karenge,
      • Qatl nahi karenge, jis ko Allah ne haram kiya hai,
      • Ek doosre ko lootenge nahi,
      • Inn tamam kaamo me se, koi ek gunah bhi agar sarzad ho jayega to uss shakhs se jannat ka koi wada nahi,[22]
      • Matlab ye ke, jo inn gunahon se bacha raha, uss se jannat ka wada hai.
      • Ek aur hadith me farmaya ke, do kaam hai jo banda kare to usay jannat mil jayegi, ek hai haram khana apne paytt me na daale aur kisi ka be-wajah khoon na bahaye.[23]
    • Ek aur hadith me Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya ke, jo koi chahta hai ke, dozakh se door kar diya jaye aur jannat me dakhil kar diya jaye, usay chahiye ke,
      • Allah par aur aakhirat par yaqeen rakhte huwe mare, aur logon ke sath waisa hi salook kare jaisa ke wo chahta hai uss ke sath salook ho.
      • Jo shakhs kisi hakim ki bayt kare aur sacha wada kare, to wo uss ki jitni ho sakay ita’at kare aur agar koi doosra hakim, aa kar usay lalkaare to doosre ka qatl kar de.[24]
    • Jis kisi ne Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ki nubuwwat ko qubool kar liya, aur aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) se Mohabbat karta raha aur uss haal me inteqaal kar gaya, wo jannat me dakhil kar diya jayega.[25]
    • Shaitan insaan ke raaston par baittha hota hai, to jo shakhs shaitan ke wasswasson ko chhorrh kar,
      • Islam qubool kare,
      • Hijrat kare,
      • Jihad kare,
      • Kyun ke, ye wo muqamaat hain jahan shaitan insaan ko bhattkaata hai,
      • To Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya ke, Allah ki taraf se uss par haq hai ke, wo jannat me dakhil kar diya jaye.
      • Jo koi mara jaye, to Allah ki taraf se uss par haq hai ke, wo jannat me dakhil kar diya jaye,
      • Jo koi doob jaye, to Allah ki taraf se uss par haq hai ke, wo jannat me dakhil kar diya jaye,
      • Ya jo koi ghoday par se girr kar uss ki gardan toot kar marr jaye, to Allah ki taraf se uss par haq hai ke, wo jannat me dakhil kar diya jaye.[26]
      • Baaz ahadith me aya hai ke, kisi ne islam qubool kiya, jung me shamil huwa, shaheed ho gaya aur bina koi nek amal kare ke jannat me dakhil ho gaya.[27]
      • Aisa nahi hai ke nek amal ki koi value nahi, neki ki wajah se hi to log jannat me jayenge, ek hadith ka mafhoom hai ke, do dost ek sath islam qubool karte hain Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ke zamane me, aur ek dost jung me shaheed ho jata hai aur doosre dost ka inteqaal ek saal ke baad apne ghar me hota hai, to jis ka inteqaal baad me huwa wo jannat me pehle dakhil kiya gaya, ba-nisbat uss ke shaheed dost ke. To ye baat jab Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) se poochhi gayee to aap ne farmaya ke doosre ne 1800 namazein pehle walay se zyada parrhi aur ramadan ke mahine ke rozay rakha, to laziman uss ka amal zyada hai.[28]
      • Ek aur hadith me farmaya ke, shaheed teen qism ke hain, pehla wo momin jo apni jaan aur maal ke sath Allah ki raah me jihad karta hai, aur jung me shaheed ho jata hai, aisa shaheed ka darja bohot ooncha hota hai,
      • Doosra wo shakhs jis ka amal nek bhi hota hai aur gunah bhi karta hai, aur wo bhi apni jaan aur maal ke sath Allah ki raah me jihad karta hai, aur jung me shaheed ho jata hai, to Allah Ta’ala uss ke gunahon ko aur khataon ko mitta dete hain, kyun ke, talwar khata’on ko kaat deti hai aur wo jannat ke jis darwaze se dakhil hona chahta hai, ho sakta hai,
      • Teesra wo shakhs jo munafiq ho, wo apni jaan aur maal ke sath Allah ki raah me jihad karta hai, aur jung me shaheed ho jata hai, aisa shakhs dozakh me jayega, kyun ke, talwar khataon ko kaat sakti hai lekin munafiqat ko mitta nahi sakti.[29]
    • Jo koi ilm hasil karne ke liye safar kare, to Allah Ta’ala uss ke liye jannat ka raasta asaan kar dete hain, phir Allah (رَبُّ الْعِزَّة) farmate hain ke, agar main kisi ko aankhon se mehroom karta hoon, to uss ke badle me uss ke liye Jannat ki zamanat hai,…[30]
    • Jo shakhs Allah ke raaste me nikalta hai, to wo behtar hai uss shakhs se jo 70 saal tak apne ghar par ibadat karta rahay,
      • Allah ke raaste me ladhne se, Allah ki maghfirat aur Jannat milti hai.
      • Allah ke raaste me thodi dayr guzaarna, utni dayr jitna ke oontt ke do waqt doodh dhonay ke waqt ke barabar ho, yani 9-10 ghantte hote hain,
      • Aise logon ko, Allah Ta’ala lazim jannat ata karte hain.[31]
      • Jo koi apne maal ki hifazat karte huwe na-haq mara jayega, to jannat uss ki huwi.[32]
    • Teen qism ke log Allah Ta’ala ki hifazat me hote hain;
      • Jab bhi koi Allah ke raaste me nikalta hai, to wo Allah ki hifazat me hota hai, agar wo jihaad ke liye nikla hai,
      • Yahan tak ke usay maut milti hai, jis ki wajah se wo jannat me chala jaata hai,
      • Ya, Allah Ta’ala usay zinda apne ghar wapas kar dete hain, maal-e-ghaneemat ke sath,
      • Aur agar wo Namaz ke liye nikla hai, to wo bhi Allah ki hifazat me hai,
      • Yahan tak ke, maut aa jaati hai, to Allah Ta’ala usay jannat me dakhil kar dete hain,
      • Ya to wo apne ghar wapas hota hai, sawab ke sath,
      • Aur jo shakhs salam kar ke apne ghar me dakhil hota hai, to wo bhi Allah Ta’ala ki hifazat me hota hai.[33]
      • Ek aur hadith me farmaya ke, jis ne Allah ke raaste me teer chalaya jo apne nishane par ja kar laga, wo jannat ka ek darjah shumar hoga,
      • Aur jo koi Allah ke raaste me sirf teer chalaye to wo aisa hai jaisa ke kisi ko azad kar diya,
      • Aur jo shakhs islam ki wajah se uss ke baal safed ho jaye, wo qiyamat ke din uss ke liye noor hoga.[34]
    • Baaz log zanjeeron me jakde huwe, jannat me dakhil kiye jayenge, ye wo log honge, jo ghair-Muslim thay aur jung ke dauran unhe qaidi bana liya gaya tha aur unhone baad me islam qubool kar liye.[35]
      • Phir ek hadith me aya hai ke, jo koi Islam me dakhil ho gaya, wo Jannat me dakhil ho gaya.[36]
    • Sahih Muslim ki ek hadith me farmaya ke, auratein jannat me minority me hongi.[37]
      • To aisa kya kare ke, jannat mil jaye?
      • Adab al-Mufrad ki ek hadith me farmaya ke, Auratein panch waqt ki namaz parrhe,
      • Ramadan ke mahine ke rozay rakhe,
      • Apni ismat ki hifazat kare,
      • Apne shohar ki ita’at kare,
      • To wo jannat ke jis darwaze se chahe dakhil ho sakti hain.[38]
      • Lekin, aaj sab se bada challenge iss hadith me auraton ke liye ye hai ke, apne shohar ki ita’at karna.
      • Islam ne auraton ke huqooq mardon par kayee banaye hain,
      • Tamam zimmadari mard par hai, har qism ka kharch mard ko utthana hai,
      • Mard ke waladain ki zimmadari bhi uss par hai, biwi chahe to miya ki iss me madad kar sakti hai, warna biwi par koi zimmadari nahi,
      • Biwi aur bachhon par kharch karna mard ki zimmadari hai,
      • Biwi apni marzi se chahe to miya ki madad kar sakti hai, lekin uss par kharch karne ki koi zimmadari nahi,
      • Aur bhi bohot saari cheezen hain jo mard ki zimmadariyon me aate hain,
      • To mard ki ita’at karna biwi ka farz hai.
      • Aur aaj ke mahol me ye sab se bada challenge hai.
    • Baaz ahadith me Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) farmate hain ke, Jannati kaun hain – wo bhi tayy hai aur Dozakhi kaun hain, wo bhi tayy hai,
      • Iss par Sahaba (رضي الله عنهم) ne poochha ke, to phir amal karne ka kya faida hai?
      • Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya ke, amal kiye jao, tum par wohi amal asaan kiya gaya hai, jis ke liye tum paida kiye gaye ho,
      • Jannatiyon par nek amaal asaan kiye gaye hain, aur
      • Dozakhiyon par buray amaal asaan kiye gaye hain.[39]
    • Bukhaar yani fever ki wajah se jo pareshan hote hain, uss par sabr karne se Jannat milti hai.[40]
    • Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya, agar tum paanch waqt ki namaz parrho, Ramadan ke mahine ke rozay rakho, apne maal par zakat ada karo, aur uss ki ita’at karo, jo tumhe hukum dene ka haq rakhta hai, to tum apne paalne walay malik ki jannat me dakhil ho jaoge.[41]
      • Ek aur hadith me farmaya ke, jannat ki chabi namaz hai aur namaz ki chabi wudhu hai.[42]
      • Musnad Ahmad ki ek hadith me Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya ke, jo koi achi tarah wudhu banaye aur aasmaan ki taraf nazar uttha kar kahe, (أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ) to uss ke liye jannat ke 8 darwaze khol diye jaate hain, aur wo jis darwaze se chahe dakhil ho sakta hai.[43]
      • Jo koi ek din me 12 rakat namaz parrhega, yahan sunnaton ki baat ho rahi hai, uss ke liye jannat me ek ghar banaya jayega.[44]
      • Ab iss hadith me sequence batayi ja rahi hai, Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) se poochha gaya ke, konsa amal jannat ke qareeb karta hai, aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya, waqt par namaz parrhna, uss ke baad walidain ke sath achha salook karna aur uss ke baad Allah ke raaste me jihad karna.[45]
      • Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya, tumhara paalne wala malik uss charwahe se khush hota hai jo oonche pahadon me namaz ke liye azaan deta hai aur namaz ada karta hai, Allah Ta’ala farmate hain ke Mere uss bande ko dekho wo mujh se darta hai aur namaz ke liye azan aur iqamat deta hai, Main ne uss ke gunaah maaf kar diye aur jannat me dakhila de diya.[46]
      • Jo koi do thande waqt ki namazein parrhega wo jannat me dakhil kar diya jayega (ab tarjuma karne walon ne Fajr aur Asr ki namaz ka zikr kiya hai).[47]
      • Jo koi masjid tameer kare, takay log wahan namaz parrhe aur Allah ko yaad kare, to uss ke liye jannat me ek ghar tayyar kiya jayega…[48]
    • Namaz ke fauri baad maa-baap se yani walidayn se acha salook karne ki ahmiyat hai, to iss silsile me aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya ke, apne walid ki izzat karne se jannat ke behtareen darwazon se dakhil kiya jayega, to apne walidayn ka khayal rakho…[49]
    • Ek aur hadith me farmaya ke, jo koi Allah se darr kar gunahon se bachte huwe nek amal karta hai yani jo muttaqi hai aur uss ke akhlaaq achhe hain, to ye do cheezen aisi hain, jo usay jannat me le jaati hain.[50]
    • Bukhari ki ek hadith me farmaya ke, chalees aise chhotte nek kaam hain aur uss me sab se behtareen kaam kisi ko apni bakri dena hai, takay wo uss ke doodh se faida uttah sakay, jo koi iss yaqeen ke sath unn amaal ko karega ke usay Allah ki taraf se sawab milega, Allah Ta’ala uss ko jannat me dakhil kar dega,[51]
      • To chalees nek kaamo me se sab se behtareen to apni bakri dena hai, hadith ke raawi kehte hain ke, hum ginne lagay iss ke baad aur kaunse kaam hain, chheenkne walay ko jawab dena, logon ke raaste se nuqsaan deh cheezen hattana hai, waghairah,…, lekin hum pandra amaal bhi nahi ginn paye,
      • Ab khaas baat ye hai ke, inn teen kaamo ke alawa na raawi ne unn 15 amaal kya hai bataya aur na chalees me se aur kaun kaun se hain, nahi bataya.
      • Baqi agar koi hadith mil jaye to baat alag hai, warna jo bhi koshish karega, wo sirf guess hi kar sakta hai, wallahu alam.
      • Adab al-Mufrad ki ek hadith me, Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya ke, logon ke raaste se nuqsaan deh cheezen hattane se jannat me dakhil ho jaoge.[52]
    • Teen qism ke log jannat me honge;
      • Ek kamiyab hukumraan jo insaaf kare,
      • Ek shakhs jo apne rishtedaaron par reham kare,
      • Ek muttaqi momin jis ka khandan bada ho aur wo bheek maangne se parhez kare.[53]
    • Hamesha sach bolna chahiye, kyun ke, sachai – sahih amal ki taraf le jaati hai, aur sahih amal jannat ki taraf le jata hai…[54]
      • Ek aur hadith me, Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ke hawale se Abu Bakr (رضي الله عنه) ne farmaya ke, haq, sach ya truth ko pakde raho, kyun ke, yehi neki hai aur ye dono cheezen insaan ko jannat me le jaati hain.[55]
    • Quran ko parrhne walay se kaha jayega ke, jab wo jannat me dakhil ho raha hoga, tilawat karte jao aur har ayat ke liye ek darja buland hota chala jayega, ye mamela uss waqt tak chalta rahega, jab tak ke wo aakhri ayat tilawat na kar le.[56]
    • Kisi janwar ki pyaas bhujha dene se, Allah Ta’ala uss shakhs ko jannat me dakhil kar dete hain.[57]
    • Jo koi ye kahe, (رَضِيتُ بِاللَّهِ رَبًّا وَبِالإِسْلاَمِ دِينًا وَبِمُحَمَّدٍ رَسُولاً) yani ke, Main Allah ke Rabb hone se, aur Islam ka deen hone se aur Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ka Rasool hone se raazi hoon, to jannat uss par wajib ho jaati hai.[58]
      • Ye subah aur shaam ke azkaar me hai, to hume parrhte rehna chahiye.
    • Jume ka khutba sunna aur imam ke qareeb baitthne ka hukum diya Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne aur farmaya ke, ye karne me jitni dayr karega, insaan apne aap ko utni dayr se jannat me dakhil hone se rokay rakhega, halanke wo uss me dakhil ho hi jayega.[59]
    • Ek aurat apni do bettiyon ke sath Amma Aisha (رضي الله عنها) ke paas aayi, to unhone 3 khajoor usay diye, to wo do khajoor apni bettiyon ko de di aur teesre khajoor ko adha – adha karke apni bettiyon ko de diya. Amma Aisha (رضي الله عنها) ne ye baat Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ko batayi, to aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya, iss par tum hairan kyun ho, iss amal ki wajah se wo aurat jannat me jayegi.[60]
    • Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya, kaun hai jo apne aap ko ek cheez ka paband kar le, aur main usay jannat ki zamanat deta hoon, wo cheez kya hai?

There we met men who, half of their bodies, look like the most handsome human beings you have ever seen, and the other half, the ugliest human beings you have ever seen. Those two visitors said to those men, ‘Go and dip yourselves in that river. So they dipped themselves therein and then came to us, their ugliness having disappeared and they were in the most handsome shape. The visitors said, ‘The first is the Garden of Eden and that is your dwelling place.’ Then they added, ‘As for those people who were half ugly and half handsome, they were those who mixed good deeds and bad deeds, but Allah forgave them.

It is reported on the authority of Abu Zubair that he heard from Jabir b ‘Abdullah, who was asked about the arrival (of people on the Day of Resurrection). He said. We would come on the Day of Resurrection like this, like this, and see. carefully. that which concerns” elevated people”. He (the narrator) said:Then the people would be summoned along with their idols whom they worshipped, one after another. Then our Lord would come to us and say: Whom are you waiting for? They would say: We are waiting for our Lord. He would say: I am your Lord. They would say: (We are not sure) till we gaze at Thee, and He would manifest Himself to them smilingly, and would go along with them and they would follow Him; and every person, whether a hypocrite or a believer, would be endowed with a light, and there would be spikes and hooks on the bridge of the Hell, which would catch hold of those whom Allah willed. Then the light of the hypocrites would be extinguished, and the believers would secure salvation. and the first group to achieve it would comprise seventy thousand men who would have the brightness of full moon on their faces, and they would not be called to account. Then the people immediately following them would have their faces as the brightest stars in the heaven. This is how (the groups would follow one after another). Then the stage of intercession would come, and they (who are permitted to intercede) would intercede, till he who had declared:” There is no god but Allah” and had in his heart virtue of the weight of a barley grain would come out of the Fire. They would be then brought in the courtyard of Paradise and the inhabitants of Paradise would begin to sprinkle water over them till they would sprout like the sprouting of a thing in flood water, and their burns would disappear. They would ask their Lord till they would be granted (the bounties) of the world and with it ten more besides it.

Then his caller called out: “As-Salatu Jami’ah (prayer is about to begin).” So we gathered, and the Messenger of Allah (saw) stood up and addressed us. He said: “There has never been a Prophet before me who was not obliged to tell his nation of what he knew was good for them, and to warn against what he knew was bad for them. With regard to this nation of yours, soundness (of religious commitment) and well-being has been placed in its earlier generations and the last of them will be afflicted with calamities and things that you dislike. Then there will come tribulations which will make the earlier ones pale into significance, and the believer will say: ‘This will be the end of me,’ then relief will come. Then (more) tribulations will come and the believer will say: ‘This will be the end of me,’ then relief will come. [25] Ibn Shumasah reported:We visited ‘Amr bin Al-‘as (May Allah be pleased with him) when he was in his deathbed. He wept for a long time and turned his face towards the wall. His son said: “O father, did not the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) give you the good news of such and such? Did he not give you glad tidings of such and such?” Then he (‘Amr) turned his face towards us and said: “The best thing which you can count upon is the affirmation that: La ilaha illallah (there is no true god except Allah), and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. I have passed through three phases. I remember when I hated none more than I hated the Messenger of Allah (PBUH), and there was no other desire stronger in me than that of killing him. Had I died in that state, I would have definitely been one of the dwellers of Fire (Hell). When Allah instilled the love for Islam in my heart, I went to Messenger of Allah (PBUH) and said, ‘Extend your right hand, so that I pledge allegiance to you.’ He (PBUH) stretched out his right hand, but I withdrew my hand. He said, ‘What is the matter, ‘Amr?’ I said, ‘I wish to lay down same conditions.’ He asked, ‘What conditions do you wish to put forward?’ I replied, ‘To be granted forgiveness.’ He said, ‘Do you not know that (embracing) Islam wipes out all that has gone before it (previous misdeeds). Verily, emigration wipes out all the previous sins, and the Hajj (pilgrimage) wipes out all the previous sins.’ Thereafter, no one was dearer to me than Messenger of Allah (PBUH), and none was more respectable than him in my eyes. So bright was his splendour that I could not gather enough courage to look at his face for any length of time. If I were asked to describe his feature, I would not be able to do so because I have never caught a full glimpse of his face. Had I died in that state I could have hoped to be one of the dwellers of Jannah. Thereafter, we were made responsible for many things and in the light of which I am unable to know what is in store for me. When I die, no mourner, nor fire should accompany my bier. When you bury me, throw the earth gently over me and stand over my grave for the space of time within which a camel is slaughtered and its meat is distributed so that I may enjoy your intimacy, and in your presence ascertain what answer can I give to the Messengers of my Rubb (the angels in grave).” [Muslim]

You will fight and be killed, and your wife will remarry, and your wealth will be divided. But he disobeys him and fights in Jihad.’ The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: ‘Whoever does that, then he had a right from Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, that He will admit him to paradise. Whoever is killed, he has a right from Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, that He will admit him to Paradise. If he is drowned, he has a right from Allah that He will admit him to paradise, or whoever is thrown by his mount and his neck is broken, he had a right from Allah that he will admit him to Paradise.'”

[27] “Narrated AbuHurayrah: Amr ibn Uqaysh had given usurious loans in pre-Islamic period; so he disliked to embrace Islam until he took them. He came on the day of Uhud and asked: Where are my cousins? They (the people) replied: At Uhud. He asked: Where is so-and-so? They said: At Uhud. He asked: Where is so-and-so? They said: At Uhud. He then put on his coat of mail and rode his horse; he then proceeded towards them. When the Muslims saw him, they said: Keep away, Amir. He said: I have become a believer. He fought until he was wounded. He was then taken to his family wounded. Sa’d ibn Mu’adh came to his sister: Ask him (whether he fought) out of partisanship, out of anger for them, or out of anger for Allah.  He said: Out of anger of Allah and His Apostle. He then died and entered Paradise. He did not offer any prayer for Allah.”

[29] ‘Utba b. ‘Abd as-Sulami reported God’s Messenger as saying, “The slain are of three types:(1) a believer who strives with his property and person in God’s path and when he meets the enemy fights till he is killed. (Of him the Prophet said that that martyr who has suffered trial is in God’s tent under- His Throne and is not excelled by the prophets except in the degree of the prophetic office.) (2) A believer who mingles a good deed with another which is evil, who fights with his person and property in God’s path, fighting till he is killed when he meets the enemy. (Of him the Prophet said that it is a cleansing agent which has obliterated his sins and his errors, for the sword obliterates errors, and he will be introduced by whichever of the gates of paradise he wishes.) (3) A hypocrite who strives with his person and property, and when he meets the enemy fights till he is killed; but that one will go to hell, for the sword does not obliterate hypocrisy.” [Darimi]

One of them said to his companion: ‘Make a parable for him’ so he said: ‘Listen so that your ears may hear. Hearken so that your heart may understand! The parable of you and your Ummah is but the parable of a king who conquers a land, then he constructs a house in it. Then he places a table-spread in it, then he sends a messenger to call the people to eat from it. Among them are those who answer the call of the messenger, and among them are those who forsake it. So Allah is the king and the land is Islam, and the house is Paradise, and you O Muhammad! You are the Messenger, so whoever responds to you he enters Islam, and whoever enters Islam he enters Paradise, and whoever enters Paradise, he shall eat of what is in it.’

He added : A man of Muzainah or juhainah asked : What is the good in doing anything, Messenger of Allah ? should we think that a thing has passed and gone or a thing that has happened now (without predestination)? He replied : About a thing that has passed and gone (i.e. predestined). A man or some people asked: Then, why action? He replied: Those who are among the number of those who go to Paradise will be helped to do the deeds of the people who will go to Paradise, and those who are among the number of those who go to Hell will be helped to do the deeds of those who will go to Hell.

Thy complained of fever and the Holy Prophet (saws) went to each house and prayed for their health. When he was returning, one of their women followed behind him and said, “By Him who has sent you with the truth, I am of the Ansar and my father is also one of the Ansar. Just as you have prayed for the Ansar, pray for me too.” The Prophet sg asked her, “What is it that you wish? [66] Buraida told that Ma’iz b. Malik came to the Prophet and said, “Purify me, Messenger of God.” He replied, “Out upon you! Go back, ask God’s forgiveness and turn to Him in repentance.” He said that he went back not very far, then came and said, “Purify me, Messenger of God,” and the Prophet said the same as he had said before. When this went on till a fourth time he asked, “For what am I to purify you?” and he replied that it was because of fornication. God’s Messenger then asked if the man was mad, and when he was told that he was not, he asked if he had drunk wine. A man got up and smelt his breath but noticed no smell of wine, so the Prophet asked him if he had committed fornication, and when he replied that he had, he gave orders regarding him and he was stoned to death. Two or three days later God’s Messenger came and said, “Ask forgiveness for Ma’iz b. Malik. He has repented to such an extent that if it were divided among a people it would be enough for them all.” Then a woman of Ghamid, a branch of Azd came to him and said, “Purify me, Messenger of God.” He replied, “Out upon you! Go back, ask God’s forgiveness and turn to Him in repentance.” She said, “Do you want to send me back as you did to Ma’iz b. Malik when I am 1 pregnant as a result of fornication?” He asked whether she was referring to herself, and when she replied that she was, he told her to wait till she had given birth to what was in her womb. One of the Ansar became responsible for her till she was delivered of a child, and then went to the Prophet and told him that the woman of Ghamid had given birth to a child. He said, “In that case we shall not stone her and so leave her child as an infant with no one to suckle him.” One of the Ansar then got up and said, “I shall be responsible for his suckling, Prophet of God.” He then had her stoned to death. A version says that he told her to go away till she gave birth to a child, then when she did, he told her to go away and suckle him till she had weaned him. When she had weaned him she brought the boy to him with a piece of bread in his hand and said, “I have weaned this one and he has eaten food.” He (hen handed the boy over to one of the Muslims, and when he had given command regarding her and she was put in a hole up to her breast, he ordered the people to stone her. Khalid b. al-Walid came forward with a stone which he threw at her head, and when the blood spurted on his face he cursed her, but the Prophet said, “Gently, Khalid, By Him in whose hand my soul is, she has repented to such an extent that if one who wrongfully takes an extra tax 2 were to repent to a like extent he would be forgiven.” Then giving command regarding her, he prayed over her and she was buried. [Muslim transmitted it]

1. The Arabic uses the third person, saying she was pregnant. It may be an explanatory phrase, but I have ventured to treat it as part of the woman’s word since this makes the sentence read a little more easily.

2. Sahib maks. Maks was money taken from sellers in the market in pre-Islamic times; it is also used of something taken by a tax-collector over and above that is duo.

What the people will consider as cold water, will be fire that will burn (things). So, if anyone of you comes across this, he should fall in the thing which will appear to him as fire, for in reality, it will be fresh cold water.” Hudhaifa added, “I also heard him saying, ‘From among the people preceding your generation, there was a man whom the angel of death visited to capture his soul. (So his soul was captured) and he was asked if he had done any good deed.’ He replied, ‘I don’t remember any good deed.’ He was asked to think it over. He said, ‘I do not remember, except that I used to trade with the people in the world and I used to give a respite to the rich and forgive the poor (among my debtors). So Allah made him enter Paradise.” Hudhaifa further said, “I also heard him saying, ‘Once there was a man on his death-bed, who, losing every hope of surviving said to his family: When I die, gather for me a large heap of wood and make a fire (to burn me). When the fire eats my meat and reaches my bones, and when the bones burn, take and crush them into powder and wait for a windy day to throw it (i.e. the powder) over the sea. They did so, but Allah collected his particles and asked him: Why did you do so? He replied: For fear of You. So Allah forgave him.” `Uqba bin `Amr said, “”I heard him saying that the Israeli used to dig the grave of the dead (to steal their shrouds).”

[69] “An-Nawwas b. Sam`a.n told that God’s messenger mentioned the dajjal saying, “”If he comes forth while I am among you I shall be the one who will dispute with him on your behalf, but if he comes forth when I am not among you a man must dispute on his own behalf, and God will take my place in looking after every Muslim. He will be a youth with curly hair and a floating eye whom I might compare to `Abd al- `Uzza b. Qatan. Those of you who live till his time should recite over him the opening verses of sura al-Kahf[1] (a version having `should recite over him the opening verses of sura al-Kahf, for they are your protection from his trial’). He will come forth on a road between Syria and al- `Iraq and do mischief right and left. Stand firm, servants of God.”” God’s messenger was asked how long he would remain in the earth and replied, “”Forty days, one like a year, one like a month, one like a week, and the rest of his days like yours.”” God’s messenger was then asked if one day’s prayer would suffice them in that day which would be like a year and replied, “”No, you must make an estimate of its extent.”” He was asked how quickly he would go in the earth and replied, “”Like rain driven along by the wind. He will come to people and summon them and they will believe in him. He will then give command to the sky and it will give rain and to the earth and it will produce crops. Then in the evening their pasturing animals will come to them with their humps as high as possible; their udders full of milk, and their flanks distended. He will then come to people and summon them, but they will reject what he says, so he will leave them. In the morning they will be destitute, possessing none of their property. He will pass the waste land and tell it to bring forth its treasures, and its treasures will follow him like swarms of bees. He will then summon a man in the prime of youth, strike him with a sword and cut him in two like a shot at a target, after which he will call him and he will come forward laughing with his face shining. But at that very moment God will send the Messiah son of Mary who will descend at the white minaret in the east of Damascus wearing two garments dyed with saffron and placing his hands on the wings of two angels. When he lowers his head, it will drip and when he raises it beads like pearls will scatter from it. Every infidel who feels the odour of his breath will die, and his breath will reach as far as he can see. He will then seek him till he catches up with him at the gate of Ludd and kills him. People whom God has protected from him will then come to Jesus who will wipe their faces and tell them of the ranks they will have in paradise. While this is happening God will reveal to Jesus that He has brought forth servants of His with whom no one will be able to fight and tell him to collect His servants at at-Tur. God will then release Gog and Magog and they will swarm down from every slope.’ [2] The first of them will pass the lake of Tiberias and drink its contents and when the last[3] of them passes he will say there was once water there. They will then journey till they come to the mountain of thickets which is the mountain of Jerusalem and will say, `We have killed those who are in the earth come and let us kill those who are in heaven.’ They will then shoot their arrows into the sky and God will send their arrows back to them dyed with blood; and God’s prophet and his companions will be restrained till an ox-head seems better to one of them than a hundred dinars do to you to-day. God’s prophet Jesus and his companions will then beseech God who will send to them insects in their necks and in the morning, they will have perished as if they were one person. God’s prophet Jesus and his companions will then come down to the earth and will not find in the earth as much space as a span which is not filled with their putrefaction and stench. God’s prophet Jesus and his companions will then beseech God who will send birds with necks like those of Bactrian camels and they will carry them and throw them where God wills. (A version says they will throw them in an-Nahbal[4] and the Muslims will burn their bows, arrows, and quivers for seven years.) God will then send a rain which no house of clay or camel’s wool will keep out and it will wash the earth till it leaves it like a mirror. The earth will then be told to bring forth its fruit and restore its blessing, and on that day a company of people will eat a pomegranate and seek shelter in its skin, and the milk will be blessed so that a milch-camel will be sufficient for a number of people, a cow in milk will be sufficient for a tribe of men and a ewe will be sufficient for a clan of men. At that time God will send a pleasant wind which will take them under their arm pits and the spirit of every believer and every Muslim will be taken, but the wicked people will remain in the earth and will be disorderly like asses. Then the last hour will come to them.””

1-Quran, 18.

2-Quran, 21:96.

3-In the Arabic of this sentence the plural is used for ‘first’ and the singular for `last.’

4-This appears as a proper name in the tradition, but Taj al-arus in the article hbl says this is an error for al-mahbal which means a great pit. Cf also Ibn al-Athir, Nihaya, 4:252.

Muslim transmitted it, except for the second version which is “”They will throw them into an-Nahbal… seven years.”” That is transmitted by Tirmidhi.
