Tarjuma wa Tafseer
Vs. No. 25
Aur jo log iman laye aur nek amal karte rahe, unn ko (Aye Nabi (صلى الله عليه وسلم) khush-khabri suna dijiye ke, unn ke liye aise baghaat hain jin ke neeche nehrein beh rahi hain, jab bhi unhe wahan kisi qism ka mewah khaane ko diya jayega, to wo kahenge ke, ye to wohi hai jo hume pehle bhi diya gaya tha, aur wahan unn ko ek doosre ke hum shakal mewe diye jayenge aur unn ke liye paak biwiyaan hongi, aur wo uss me rahenge hamesha hamesha.
Iss ayat me samajhne ke 10 alfaaz me se hum 7 alfaaz, Bash-shir, Utoo, Amiloo, Jannat, Tajri, al-Anhaar aur Mutashabih ki tafseel aur Lafz-e-Azwaaj par Quran ki ayaat aur chand ahadith sunn chuke hain,
120. AZWAAJ (Mates, Spouses or Companions) اَزْوَاجٌ ( ز و ج ) 2:25 – Part 2
Iss lafz ke doosre hisse me jo ahadith aa rahi hain, unn me;
- Azwaaj-e-Mutahharaat yani Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ki biwiyon ke baare me Quran me ata hai ke, Allah Ta’ala ne aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ki shadi inn auraton se karwayi thi aur ye khaas nemat sirf Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ko hasil thi,[1] aur inn azwaaj-e-mutahharaat ka darja momineen ki maa’on ke barabar hai,
- Musnad Ahmed ki hadith me ata hai ke, Ek martaba Ali (رضي الله عنه) ne sehan-e-Kufa me logon ko qasam de kar farmaya ke, jis ne ghadeer khum ke mauqe par Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ka ye irshaad suna ho to wo khada ho jaye ke, “Main jis ka maula hoon, Ali bhi uss ka maula hain” iss par 12 Sahaba (رضي الله عنهم) khade ho gaye jinhone jung-e-badr me shirkat ki thi, aur sab ne gawahi di ke hum sab ne Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ko ghadeer khum ke mauqe par Ali (رضي الله عنه) ke mutalliq ye farmaate suna tha ke, “Kya main momineen ke liye unn ki jaano se zyada qareeb nahi hoon aur meri azwaaj-e-mutahharaat unn ki maa’ein hain?” sab ne arz kiya, kyun nahi, aye Allah ke Rasool! Phir aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya, jis ka main maula hoon, Ali (رضي الله عنه) bhi uss ke maula hain, aye Allah! Jo Ali se dosti kare Tu uss se dosti farma, aur jo uss se dushmani kare Tu uss se dushmani farma.”[2]
- To iss hadith se pata chalta hai ke, Azwaaj-e-Mutahharaat ka darja momineen ki maa’on ke barabar hai, aur
- Ali (رضي الله عنه) ko aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne momineen ka maula qaraar diya.
- Azwaaj-e-Rasool (رضي الله عنهم) ki ahadith ke zariye hume bohot saare ahkamaat maloom hote hain, jaisa ke,
- Amma Aisha (رضي الله عنها) ki hadith, farmaya ke, Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) Ramadan ke aakhri ashare me itekaaf karte rahay, yani har saal ye mamela raha aap ke inteqaal tak, uss ke baad azwaaj-e-Mutahharaat (رضي الله عنهم) ne iss amal ko jaari rakha.[3]
- Azwaaj-e-Mutahharaat ko, Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne kitna mehr ada kiya tha?
- 12.5 uqiya sonay ke hote hain,[4]
- Ye 1.5 kg se thoda kum chandi hoti hai, aaj ka rate chandi ka 10.46 Riyal hai, agar 10 se bhi multiply karenge to taqreeban 14,874 Riyal hote hain.
- Ye meher aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne ada kiya.
- Azwaaj-e-Mutahharaat ke jo ghar thay, wo lakdi ke bane huwe thay, jis ke pillars khajoor ke tanno se bane huwe thay…aur darwaze ki chawdaan ek hath ke barabar thi aur darwaze ka rukh syria ya shaam ki taraf tha,[5]
- Azdwaaji zindagi se mutalliq baatein bhi Ummahaatul Momineen se hi pata chali.[6]
- Jaisa ke ek waqt, teen sahaba (رضي الله عنهم) Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ki ibadat ke mutalliq poochhne ke liye aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ki azwaaj-e-mutahharaat ke paas aaye, jab unhe uss ke baare me bataya gaya, to unhone apni ibadaat ko kum mehsoos kiya, chunache, unhone kaha:
- hamara Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) se kya comparison hai, Allah Ta’ala ne to aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ke agle pichhle gunah maaf kar diye hain,
- to unn me se ek ne kaha: main to hamesha saari raat namaz parrhoonga,
- lekin main rozah bhi rakhta hoon aur iftaar bhi karta hoon,
- raat ko namaz parrhta hoon aur sota bhi hoon aur
- main auraton se shadi bhi karta hoon,
- to jo shakhs meri sunnat se eraaz kare, ya meri sunnat ko chhorrh de wo mujh se nahi.[7]
- Bukhari ki ek hadith me ata hai ke, Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne ek zawja ko talaq bhi diya, tafseel me jaane ki gunjaish nahi hai lekin chand ahadith iss ki tafseel bayan karte hain.[8]
- Muslim ki ek hadith me ata hai ke, Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) azwaaj-e-Mutahharaat ko kaise treat karte thay, aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ka ek ghulam tha jis ka naam anjasha tha, jo unn oontton ko chala raha tha jis par Ummahaatul Momineen sawar thi, aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne anjasha se kaha, dheere se oontton ko chalao, kyun ke, iss par kaanch ka saman hai, yani ummahaatul momineen hain, jo nazuk hain – inn ka khayal rakho.[9]
- Agar hum me se koi aisa kahe ke meri biwi nazuk hai, to kaisi kaisi batein sunne ko milti hain.
- Jab bhi aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) safar par jaate to apni biwiyon ke darmiyan qurra daalte, aur jis ka naam qurra-andazi se nikal aata, uss biwi ke sath aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) safar karte, aise kayee safar se mutalliq qisse ahadith me darj hai, aur aise mauqon par kabhi koi hukum nazil hota, to uss ki tafseel bhi uss me shamil hoti hain…[10]
- jaise auraton par tohmat lagane ki saza ke ahkamaat nazil huwe,
- taymmum ke ahkamaat nazil huwe, aur
- azwaaj ko safar par le jaane ke jo faide hain, wo bhi kayee hain.
- Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) jab raat ko neend se jaagte to kya karte, kya kalimaat parrhte, namaz kitni parrhte, waghaira, waghaira.[11]
- Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ghusl kaisa karte,[12]
- Aam taur par kaise ghusl karte aur
- Janabat ki halat me hote to kya karte, se saari tafseel hume ahadith me milti hai,
- Amma Aisha farmati hain ke, ek khwaja-sara admi ummahaatul momineen ke paas aya karta tha, aur ummahaat ne uss ke aane jaane ko bura nahi samjha kyun ke, wo uss shakhs ko bina kisi khwaheshaat ka mard samajh kar aiteraaz nahi kiya,
- ek waqt wo kisi ummul momineen ke paas baittha tha aur auraton se mutaliq kuch baat keh raha tha, jab Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ghar me dakhil huwe, to aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya ab, kyun ke, ye saari cheezen jaanta hai to isay dakhil na hone diya jaye, uss ke baad ummahaatul momineen uss se parda karne lagi.[13]
- Ye hadith aaj ke mahol ke aitebaar se, LGBTQ+ ke aitebaar se bohot hi ahem hai, ke hum aise logon se kya salook kare, iss hadith se pata chalta hai.
- Itni saari internal details hume nahi pata chal sakti thi, ummahaatul momineen ye baatein zahir ki to hume pata chali, warna nahi maloom ho sakta tha.
- Ya jab koi wahi nazil hoti, aur aap amma Aisha (رضي الله عنها) ke sath hotay, uss ki tafseel bhi hume ummahaatul momineen ki ahadith me milti hai.[14]
- Jaisa ke ek waqt aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne amma Zainab (رضي الله عنها) ke ghar par shehad piya, jis ki booh doosri azwaaj ko pasand nahi aayi, to aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne kaha ke main phir wo shehad nahi piyoonga, to iss par wahi ka nuzool huwa aur Allah Ta’ala Surah at-Tahreem ki pehli ayat me farmate hain ke,[15]
- “Aye Nabi (صلى الله عليه وسلم)! Aap uss cheez ko apne ooper kyun haram karte ho, jo Allah ne aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) par halal kiya hai, kya iss se aap apni biwiyon ki razamandi chahte hain, aur Allah bohot maaf karne wala aur reham karne wala hai.[16]”
- Ya parday ke mutalliq jo ahkamaat nazil huwe, ye bhi amma aisha (رضي الله عنها) ki hadith se hume maloom hota hai,[17]
- Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم), Ramadan ke alawa rozay kaun se din rakha karte thay.[18]
- Wirasat ke ahkamaat ke baare me bhi inhi ahadith se hume pata chalta hai.[19]
- Eid me aur Hajj ke dauran jo janwar aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne apni azwaaj ke liye zibah kiya, iss ki tafseel hume milti hai, jaisa ke, ek hadith me aya hai ke hajj ke mauqe par aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne ek gaye zibah ki apni azwaaj ke naam se.[20]
- Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) apni azwaaj ke gharon ke alawa kisi aur aurat ke ghar me dakhil nahi hotay thay, siway Umm Sulaim (رضي الله عنها) ke, jo Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) ki walida thi, aur aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya ke, Mujhe Umm Sulaim (رضي الله عنها) par taras aata hai kyun ke unn ke bhai mera sath dete huwe maare gaye.[21]
- Ummahaat al-Momineen se ye bhi pata chala ke, Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya ke, jo koi jyotishi ke paas ya faal kholne wale ke paas, ya wo jo kehte hain “What the Stars Foretell” aise logon ke paas jayega aur unn ki baat par yaqeen karega, to uss shakhs ki 40 din ki namaz nahi qabool hogi.[22]
- Amma Aisha (رضي الله عنها) farmati hain ke, main Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ki azwaaj-e-mutahharaat me se kisi se hasad nahi karti thi, jitni khadeeja (رضي الله عنها) se thi, halanke main unn se kabhi nahi mili, ye sirf iss liye tha ke, Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) unn ka kasrat se zikr kiya karte thay, yahan tak ke wo ek bakra zibah karte to Khadija (رضي الله عنها) ki saheliyon ko ba-taur tohfa bhejte.[23]
- Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ke inteqaal se kuch din pehle ke waqiyaat bhi azwaaj-e-mutahharaat ki ahadith ke zariye pata chalte hain,[24]
- Ek waqt tamam azwaaj-e-mutahharaat Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ke atraaf jama huwin aur aap se sawal kiya ke, hum me se kaun aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ke fauri baad inteqaal farmayengi, iss par aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya ke tum me se jis ke hath sab se lambe hain, to wo ek lakdi ke zariye apne hath naapne lagi aur Amma Sauda (رضي الله عنها) ke hath sab se lambe thay.
- Phir Umar (رضي الله عنه) ki daur-e-khilafat me, Azwaaj-e-Mutahharaat me se Amma Zainab (رضي الله عنها) aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ke baad inteqaal farmayi, kyun ke, wo kasrat se sadaqah karti thi.[25]
- Hath lambe hone ka matlab yahan sadaqah dene me kasrat karne ka tha, na ke hath ki physical lambai ke.
- Jab ke Amma Sauda ka inteqaal baad me huwa, halanke unn ke hath physically tamam azwaaj-e-mutahharaat me sab se lambe hone ke bawajood.
- Biwi ke maane aaye hain,
- Ye hadith hum pehle bhi sunn chuke hain, ek sahabi (رضي الله عنه) Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ki khidmat me tashreef le aaye aur kaha ke, main munfiq ho gaya hoon, poochhne par bataya ke, jo kaifiyat aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ke bayan sunne par hoti hai, wo ghar walon, biwi-bachhon ke sath rehne me nahi baqi rehti, iss par Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya ke agar ye kaifiyat har waqt tumhare sath hoti to phir farishte har jagah maujood hote aur tum se hath mila rahe hote.[26]
- Ek aur hadith me aya hai ke, sab se pehla batch jo jannat me dakhil hoga unn ke chehre chaudhwi ke chand ki tarah roshan honge, full moon ki tarah, aur jo doosra batch jannat me dakhil hoga, unn ke chehre aasmaan me sab se roshan planet ya sitare ki tarah roshan honge, unn me se har ek ko do biwiyan di jayengi, jo 70 kangan pehni hongi aur unn ki pildiyan transparent hongi ke unn me se haddiyon ka gooda nazar aa raha hoga.[27]
- Ek shakhs ne Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) se sawal kiya ke, Biwi ke uss ke shohar par kya huqooq hain? Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya,
- jab tum khao to usay bhi khilao, yani biwi ko bhi khilao,
- jab tum kapde pehno to usay bhi pehnao,
- uss ke chehre par maarne, aur usay bura bhala kehne se aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne mana farmaya.
- Agar uss se naraz ho, to ghar me hi uss se alahedgi ikhtiyar karo.[28]
- Million dollar question ya sawal ye hai ke, kahan invest karna hai?
- Yehi sawal Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) se kiya gaya, jab Surah at-Tauba me sona aur chandi ko jama karne ki mumniyat aayi…
- Aur aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya, sab se behtar ye hai ke, insaan ka dil shukr guzaar ho,
- Allah ko yaad karne wali zaban ho aur
- ek momin biwi jo usay aakhirat ko hasil karne me madad kare.[29]
- Husband ya shohar ke maane aaye hain,
- Ek aurat ne apne shohar ke inteqaal ke taqreeban ek mahina baad bache ko janam diya, aur jab wo paak huwi to dobara shadi karne ki khwahesh zahir ki, to logon ne aiteraaz kiya, aur iss ka zikr Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) se kiya gaya, to aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya ke usay rokne ke liye kuch bhi nahi hai, uss aurat ki iddat poori ho chuki hai.[30]
- Shohar ke inteqaal par aam taur par aurat ko dobara shadi karne ke liye 4 mahine 10 din rukna hai,
- ya agar wo hamila hai to jab tak ke delivery nahi ho jaati, yani 8-9 mahine tak iddat hogi, jab tak ke bachhe ko janam na de de.
- ye iss liye hai ke, bachhon ke baap ka pata lag sakay, ye families ke liye bohot hi zaroori hai.
- Aur doosri wajah ye hai ke, aurat poori tarah se paak ho jaye,
- Iss ke aur bhi faide hain, iss ko tafseel me waqt aane par ghaur karenge,
- Kisi bhi aurat ke liye ye jaiz nahi ke wo kisi ke inteqaal par 3 din se zyada sog manaye, siway uss ke shohar ke, jis ke liye uss ki sog manane ka period 4 mahine 10 din hai.[31]
- Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya ke, koi aurat apne shohar ko duniya me takleef pahunchati hai, to uss ki badi badi aankhon wali jannati biwi kehti hai, Allah tujhe halak kare, usay takleef na pahuncha, wo to tere paas bus mehmaan hai, wo tujhe anqareeb chhorrh kar hamari taraf aayega.[32]
- Phir Surah Mujadila ke zariye hume pata chalta hai ke, Khaula bint Thalabah ke shohar ne usay takleef pahunchai, to wo Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ke paas aayi aur apne shohar ke khilaaf shikayat ki ke,
- mere shohar ne meri jawani istemaal kar li,
- maine uss ke kayee bachhon ko janam diya aur jab main boodhi ho gayee aur ab bachhon ko janam dene ke qabil nahi rahi to uss ne mujhe talaq de diya,
- Aye Allah main tujh se shikayat karti hoon, aur wo Allah se shikayat karti rahi, yahan tak ke Surah Mujadila ki ayaat nazil ho gayee,[33]
- Allah ne sunn liya uss aurat ki baat, jo Aye Nabi (صلى الله عليه وسلم) aap se jhagad rahi hai, apne shohar ke baare me aur wo Allah se bhi faryaad kar rahi hai, aur Allah sunn raha hai aap dono ki batein, yaqeenan Allah sab kuch sunne wala, sab kuch dekhne wala hai.[34]
- Agar koi aurat apne shohar ke maal me se kuch kharch kare, bina usay nuqsaan pahunchaye, to usay uss sadaqah karne ka ajr milega, aur uss ke shohar ko bhi utna hi ajr milega, kamane ke liye.[35]
- iss par aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya ke, yehi to asal maal-o-daulat hai.[36]
- Ab iss hadith me aaj kal ka burning issue hai, talaq ke baad bachhon ka kya hoga,
- Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ke paas ek aurat aayi aur kaha ke mera shohar mujh se mera betta chheen lena chahta hai, wo mujhe faida pahunchata hai aur wo kuwe se meettha paani mujhe la kar pilata hai,
- to Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya ke uss ke mutalliq qurra andazi karo, yani miya biwi me se kaun bachhe ko rakhega uss ke liye qurra daalo ya cast lots,
- to uss ke shohar ne kaha, mere bachhe ke baare me mujh se kaun jhagad raha hai?
- To Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne uss bachhe se kaha, ye tere walid hain aur ye teri walida hai, lehaza tum inn me se jis ka chaho hath pakad lo, uss ne apni walida ka hath pakad liya.[37]
- Ek qabile ki do auraton me se ek ne doosre ka qatl kar diya, aur unn dono auraton ke shohar aur bache thay, Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne qatil ke baap ke side ke khandan walon se kaha ke khoon baha ada kiya jaye, aur aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne qatil ke shohar aur bachhe ko be-gunah hone ka ailan kiya,…[38]
- Miya agar ek se zyada shadi kar le, to iss qism ke masle to hote hain, ek aurat aa kar Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) se poochhti hai ke, mere sath mere shohar ki doosri biwi bhi rehti hai, kya mere liye ye ghalat hoga ke main uss se kahoon ke mere shohar ne mujhe fulan cheez di hai, jab ke uss ne mujhe wo cheez nahi diya hai, iss par Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya ke, jo uss cheez par fakhar karta hai, jo usay nahi di gayee hai, to wo uss shakhs ki tarah hai jis ne jhoott ke do kapde pehen liye hain.[39]
- Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya ke, oontton par sawar hone wali auraton me sab se achhi Quraish ki auratein hain, hyun ke, wo chhotte bachhon ko sab se zyada pyar karne wali aur apne shohar ki cheezon ka sab se zyada khyal rakhne wali hain.[40]
- Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya ke, ek Hakim apni ri’aya ka nigehbaan hai, mard apne khandan ka nigehbaan hai aur aurat apne shohar ke ghar aur uss ki aulad ki zimmadar hai, aur iss tarah tum sab zimmadar ho apni apni ri’aya ke.[41]
- Ek aurat aa kar Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) se apne shohar ke khilaf shikayat karti hai ke, main jab namaz parrhti hoon to wo mujhe maarta hai, aur main jab roza rakhti hoon to wo usay tudwa deta hai, aur wo khud fajr ki namaz suraj tulu hone ke baad parrhta hai,
- Shohar bhi wahin baittha tha, Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ke paas jab ye shikayat uss ki biwi kar rahi thi,
- Shohar ne kaha ke, main isay namaz me iss liye maarta hoon kyun ke wo har namaz me do suratein parrhti hain, jab ke maine isay mana kiya do suratein parrhne se, iss par Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya ke, ek zimme surah kafi hai, namaz me logon ko parrhne ke liye,
- Doosri baat, ye nafil roze rakhte chali jaati hai, aur main jawan hoon, aur apne aap ko rok nahi pata, iss par Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya ke, aurat nafil roza apne shohar ki ijazat ke baghair nahi rakh sakti,
- Teesri baat, ye ke main suraj tulu hone ke baad hi fajr parrhta hoon, to main ek aise tabqe se taloq rakhne wale logon me se hoon, aur ye paani faraham karne ka hamara pesha hai, hamare baare me pehle se hi jana jata hai, suraj tulu hone tak hum nahi jaag sakte, iss par Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya ke, jaagne par sab se pehle namaz ada karo.[42]
- Agar koi aurat apne shohar se talaqt lena chahe baghair kisi jaiz wajah ke to wo jannat ki khushboo nahi soong payegi.[43]
- Shohar apni biwi ko bistar par bulaye, aur wo na aaye aur iss ki wajah se shohar raat bhar, biwi se narazgi me guzaare, to fajr hone tak farishte biwi par lanat karte hain.[44]
- …Ek aur hadith me aya hai ke, aisi aurat ki namaz uss ke sar ke ek hath ooper tak bhi nahi pahunchti,…[45]
- Jo aurat iss haal me inteqaal kar jaye ke, uss ka shohar uss se raazi ho to wo jannat me dakhil hogi…[46]
- Ek aurat ne apne shohar ke inteqaal ke taqreeban ek mahina baad bache ko janam diya, aur jab wo paak huwi to dobara shadi karne ki khwahesh zahir ki, to logon ne aiteraaz kiya, aur iss ka zikr Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) se kiya gaya, to aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya ke usay rokne ke liye kuch bhi nahi hai, uss aurat ki iddat poori ho chuki hai.[30]
- Shadi ke maane aaye hain,
- Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya, agar kisi aurat ko do waliyon ne shadi tayy karwayi, to uss ka nikah pehle wali ke muqarrar karda shakhs se hoga, aur agar kisi ne do logon ko same cheez bechi hai, to wo pehle jis shakhs ko becha hai, uss ki hogi.[47]
- Agar koi shakhs apni betti ki shadi bina uss ki marzi ke kar di, to wo shadi valid nahi hai,[48]
- Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne jab Fatima (رضي الله عنها) ki shadi Ali (رضي الله عنه) se ki to unn ke sath ek makhmali libas, khajoor ke rayshe se bhara huwa ek chamde ka takiya, do chakki ke pathar, ek pani ka mashkeeza, aur do mitti ke bartan bheje.[49]
- Ye koi jahez lene ka jawaz nahi hai, yahan samajhne wali baat ye hai ke, Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) Ali (رضي الله عنه) aur Fatima (رضي الله عنها) dono ko represent kar rahe thay aur
- Ali (رضي الله عنه) ke paas bhi kuch nahi tha, siway teen cheezon ke, unn ki talwar, unn ki zarah biktar yani unn ka armour aur unn ka ghoda,
- Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne unhe mashwara diya ke, apna zarah biktar becho aur uss se meher ada karo.[50]
- Ek aurat ne apni betti ki shadi ki, uss ke baad uss ki betti ke baal girrna shuru ho gaye, uss ladki ke shohar ne kaha ke, isay koi wig lagao, false hair, iss ka zikr Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) se kiya gaya aur aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne aisa karne se mana farmaya, kyun ke, Allah Ta’ala aisi auraton par lanat karta hai jo artificial tareeqe se baal lambe karti hain.[51]
- Phir, Joday ke maane aaye hain,
- Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya, jo musalman apne saare maal se joda joda Allah ki raah me kharch karta hai, to jannat ke tamam darbaan apni apni nematon ke sath uss ka isteqbal karte hain, poochha gaya ke wo kaise kharch kare? Aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya, agar oontt ho to do oontt de, agar gaye hai to do gaye de.[52]
- Group ke ya sab kuch ek jagah jama karne ke maane aaye hain,
- Maut ke Farishte marne walay ke paas aate hain, aur agar wo nek hai to uss se kehte hain, aye nek rooh bahar nikal aa, aur tere liye khush-khabri hai aur khushboo hai aur Rabb ki raza hai, jab wo bahar nikal aati hai to usay aasmaan me le jaya jata hai aur uss ke darwaze khol diye jaate hain, sawal-o-jawab ke baad aasmaan walay kehte hain ke, daakhil ho ja nek rooh jo nek badan me thi, yahan tak ke uss rooh ko iss kayenaat ke paal ne walay malik ke qareeb walay aasmaan tak laya jata hai,
- Aur agar marne wala bura hai to uss se kaha jata hai ke, nikal aa khabees rooh jo buray jism me thi, bahar aa aur tere liye buri khabar hai, khaulte huwe paani ki, ghalazat ki, mila kar ek sath azab hoga.[53]
Yahan aaj ka dars rok denge. Surah al-Baqarah ki tafseer Next Saturday In Sha Allah aagay sunenge.

[1] Narrated Ibn ‘Abbas: “All types of women were prohibited for the Messenger of ALlah (SAW) except for the believing women among those who emigrated. (Allah) said: ‘It is not lawful for you (to marry other) women after this, nor to change them for other wives even though their beauty attracts you, except those whom your right hand possesses (33:52). – And Allah made your believing girls lawful ‘And a believing woman if she offers herself to the Prophet (33:50)’ and He made every woman of a religion other than Islam unlawful.” Then He said: “And whoever disbelieves in faith then fruitless is his work; and in the Hereafter he will be among the losers (5:5).” And he said: “Verily We have made lawful to you your wives, to whom you have paid their due, and those whom your right hands possess – whom Allah has given you” up to His saying: “A privilege to only you, not for the (rest of) the believers (33:50).” He made the other types of women unlawful.”

It is as if I can see one of them. And they said: We bear witness that we heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say on the day of Ghadeer Khumm; `Am I not closer to the believers than their own selves and my wives are their mothers?` We said: Yes indeed, O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). He said: `If I am a person`s mawla (friend and supporter) then `Ali is also his mawla; O Allah, take as friends those who take him as a friend, and take as enemies those who take him as an enemy.”

[7] Anas said: Three people came to the Prophet’s wives and asked how the Prophet conducted his worship. When they were told about it they seemed to consider it little and said, “What a difference there is between us and the Prophet whose former and latter sins have been forgiven him by God!” One of them said, “As for me, I will always pray during the night.” Another said, “I will fast during the daytime and not break my fast.” The other said, “I will have nothing to do with women and will never marry.” Then the Prophet came to them and said, “Are you the people who said such and such? By God, I am the one of you who fears and reverences God most, yet I fast and I break my fast; I pray and I sleep; and I marry women. He who is displeased with my sunna has nothing to do with me.” [Bukhari and Muslim]

[10] Narrated Aisha: (The wife of the Prophet) Whenever Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) intended to go on a journey, he used to draw lots among his wives and would take with him the one on whom the lot had fallen. Once he drew lots when he wanted to carry out a Ghazwa, and the lot came upon me. So I proceeded with Allah’s Apostle after Allah’s order of veiling (the women) had been revealed and thus I was carried in my howdah (on a camel) and dismounted while still in it. We carried on our journey, and when Allah’s Apostle had finished his Ghazwa and returned and we approached Medina, Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) ordered to proceed at night. When the army was ordered to resume the homeward journey, I got up and walked on till I left the army (camp) behind. When I had answered the call of nature, I went towards my howdah, but behold ! A necklace of mine made of Jaz Azfar (a kind of black bead) was broken and I looked for it and my search for it detained me. The group of people who used to carry me, came and carried my howdah on to the back of my camel on which I was riding, considering that I was therein. At that time women were light in weight and were not fleshy for they used to eat little (food), so those people did not feel the lightness of the howdah while raising it up, and I was still a young lady. They drove away the camel and proceeded. Then I found my necklace after the army had gone. I came to their camp but found nobody therein so I went to the place where I used to stay, thinking that they would miss me and come back in my search. While I was sitting at my place, I felt sleepy and slept. Safwan bin Al-Mu’attil As-Sulami Adh- Dhakw-ani was behind the army. He had started in the last part of the night and reached my stationing place in the morning and saw the figure of a sleeping person. He came to me and recognized me on seeing me for he used to see me before veiling. I got up because of his saying: “Inna Li l-lahi wa inna ilaihi rajiun,” which he uttered on recognizing me. I covered my face with my garment, and by Allah, he did not say to me a single word except, “Inna Li l-lahi wa inna ilaihi rajiun,” till he made his shecamel kneel down whereupon he trod on its forelegs and I mounted it. Then Safwan set out, leading the she-camel that was carrying me, till we met the army while they were resting during the hot midday. Then whoever was meant for destruction, fell in destruction, and the leader of the Ifk (forged statement) was `Abdullah bin Ubai bin Salul. After this we arrived at Medina and I became ill for one month while the people were spreading the forged statements of the people of the Ifk, and I was not aware of anything thereof. But what aroused my doubt while I was sick, was that I was no longer receiving from Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) the same kindness as I used to receive when I fell sick. Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) would enter upon me, say a greeting and add, “How is that (lady)?” and then depart. That aroused my suspicion but I was not aware of the propagated evil till I recovered from my ailment. I went out with Um Mistah to answer the call of nature towards Al-Manasi, the place where we used to relieve ourselves, and used not to go out for this purpose except from night to night, and that was before we had lavatories close to our houses. And this habit of ours was similar to the habit of the old ‘Arabs (in the deserts or in the tents) concerning the evacuation of the bowels, for we considered it troublesome and harmful to take lavatories in the houses. So I went out with Um Mistah who was the daughter of Abi Ruhm bin `Abd Manaf, and her mother was daughter of Sakhr bin Amir who was the aunt of Abi Bakr As-Siddiq, and her son was Mistah bin Uthatha. When we had finished our affair, Um Mistah and I came back towards my house. Um Mistah stumbled over her robe whereupon she said, “Let Mistah be ruined ! ” I said to her, “What a bad word you have said! Do you abuse a man who has taken part in the Battle of Badr?’ She said, “O you there! Didn’t you hear what he has said?” I said, “And what did he say?” She then told me the statement of the people of the Ifk (forged statement) which added to my ailment. When I returned home, Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) came to me, and after greeting, he said, “How is that (lady)?” I said, “Will you allow me to go to my parents?” At that time I intended to be sure of the news through them. Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) allowed me and I went to my parents and asked my mother, “O my mother! What are the people talking about?” My mother said, “O my daughter! Take it easy, for by Allah, there is no charming lady who is loved by her husband who has other wives as well, but that those wives would find fault with her.” I said, “Subhan Allah! Did the people really talk about that?” That night I kept on weeping the whole night till the morning. My tears never stopped, nor did I sleep, and morning broke while I was still weeping, Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) called `Ali bin Abi Talib and Usama bin Zaid when the Divine Inspiration delayed, in order to consult them as to the idea of divorcing his wife. Usama bin Zaid told Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) of what he knew about the innocence of his wife and of his affection he kept for her. He said, “O Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ)! She is your wife, and we do not know anything about her except good.” But `Ali bin Abi Talib said, “O Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ)! Allah does not impose restrictions on you; and there are plenty of women other than her. If you however, ask (her) slave girl, she will tell you the truth.” `Aisha added: So Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) called for Barira and said, “O Barira! Did you ever see anything which might have aroused your suspicion? (as regards Aisha). Barira said, “By Allah Who has sent you with the truth, I have never seen anything regarding Aisha which I would blame her for except that she is a girl of immature age who sometimes sleeps and leaves the dough of her family unprotected so that the domestic goats come and eat it.” So Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) got up (and addressed) the people an asked for somebody who would take revenge on `Abdullah bin Ubai bin Salul then. Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ), while on the pulpit, said, “O Muslims! Who will help me against a man who has hurt me by slandering my family? By Allah, I know nothing except good about my family, and people have blamed a man of whom I know nothing except good, and he never used to visit my family except with me,” Sa`d bin Mu`adh Al-Ansari got up and said, “O Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ)! By Allah, I will relieve you from him. If he be from the tribe of (Bani) Al-Aus, then I will chop his head off; and if he be from our brethren, the Khazraj, then you give us your order and we will obey it.” On that, Sa`d bin ‘Ubada got up, and he was the chief of the Khazraj, and before this incident he had been a pious man but he was incited by his zeal for his tribe. He said to Sa`d (bin Mu`adh), “By Allah the Eternal, you have told a lie! You shall not kill him and you will never be able to kill him!” On that, Usaid bin Hudair, the cousin of Sa`d (bin Mu`adh) got up and said to Sa`d bin ‘Ubada, “You are a liar! By Allah the Eternal, we will surely kill him; and you are a hypocrite defending the hypocrites!” So the two tribes of Al-Aus and Al-Khazraj got excited till they were on the point of fighting with each other while Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) was standing on the pulpit. Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) continued quietening them till they became silent whereupon he became silent too. On that day I kept on weeping so much that neither did my tears stop, nor could I sleep. In the morning my parents were with me, and I had wept for two nights and a day without sleeping and with incessant tears till they thought that my liver would burst with weeping. While they were with me and I was weeping, an Ansari woman asked permission to see me. I admitted her and she sat and started weeping with me. While I was in that state, Allah’s Apostle came to us, greeted, and sat down,. He had never sat with me since the day what was said, was said. He had stayed a month without receiving any Divine Inspiration concerning my case. Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) recited the Tashahhud after he had sat down, and then said, “Thereafter, O `Aisha! I have been informed such and-such a thing about you; and if you are innocent, Allah will reveal your innocence, and if you have committed a sin, then ask for Allah’s forgiveness and repent to Him, for when a slave confesses his sin and then repents to Allah, Allah accepts his repentance.” When Allah’s Apostle had finished his speech, my tears ceased completely so that I no longer felt even a drop thereof. Then I said to my father, “Reply to Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) on my behalf as to what he said.” He said, “By Allah, I do not know what to say to Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ).” Then I said to my mother, “Reply to Allah’s Apostle.” She said, “I do not know what to say to Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ).” Still a young girl as I was and though I had little knowledge of Qur’an, I said, “By Allah, I know that you heard this story (of the Ifk) so much so that it has been planted in your minds and you have believed it. So now, if I tell you that I am innocent, and Allah knows that I am innocent, you will not believe me; and if I confess something, and Allah knows that I am innocent of it, you will believe me. By Allah, I cannot find of you an example except that of Joseph’s father: “So (for me) patience is most fitting against that which you assert and it is Allah (Alone) Whose help can be sought. Then I turned away and lay on my bed, and at that time I knew that I was innocent and that Allah would reveal my innocence. But by Allah, I never thought that Allah would sent down about my affair, Divine Inspiration that would be recited (forever), as I considered myself too unworthy to be talked of by Allah with something that was to be recited: but I hoped that Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) might have a vision in which Allah would prove my innocence. By Allah, Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) had not left his seat and nobody had left the house when the Divine Inspiration came to Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) . So there overtook him the same hard condition which used to overtake him (when he was Divinely Inspired) so that the drops of his sweat were running down, like pearls, though it was a (cold) winter day, and that was because of the heaviness of the Statement which was revealed to him. When that state of Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) was over, and he was smiling when he was relieved, the first word he said was, “Aisha, Allah has declared your innocence.” My mother said to me, “Get up and go to him.” I said, “By Allah, I will not go to him and I will not thank anybody but Allah.” So Allah revealed: “Verily! They who spread the Slander are a gang among you. Think it not….” (24.11-20). When Allah revealed this to confirm my innocence, Abu Bakr As-Siddiq who used to provide for Mistah bin Uthatha because of the latter’s kinship to him and his poverty, said, “By Allah, I will never provide for Mistah anything after what he has said about Aisha”. So Allah revealed: (continued…) (continuing… 1): -6.274:… “Let not those among you who are good and are wealthy swear not to give (help) to their kinsmen, those in need, and those who have left their homes for Allah’s Cause. Let them Pardon and forgive (i.e. do not punish them). Do you not love that should forgive you? Verily Allah is Oft-forgiving. Most Merciful.” (24.22) Abu Bakr said, “Yes, by Allah, I wish that Allah should forgive me.” So he resumed giving Mistah the aid he used to give him before and said, “By Allah, I will never withold it from him at all.” Aisha further said: Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) also asked Zainab bint Jahsh about my case. He said, “O Zainab! What have you seen?” She replied, “O Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ)! I protect my hearing and my sight (by refraining from telling lies). I know nothing but good (about Aisha).” Of all the wives of Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ), it was Zainab who aspired to receive from him the same favor as I used to receive, yet, Allah saved her (from telling lies) because of her piety. But her sister, Hamna, kept on fighting on her behalf so she was destroyed as were those who invented and spread the slander.

[24] Narrated `Aisha: that during his fatal ailment, Allah’s Apostle, used to ask his wives, “Where shall I stay tomorrow? Where shall I stay tomorrow?” He was looking forward to Aisha’s turn. So all his wives allowed him to stay where he wished, and he stayed at `Aisha’s house till he died there. `Aisha added: He died on the day of my usual turn at my house. Allah took him unto Him while his head was between my chest and my neck and his saliva was mixed with my saliva.

Narrated `Aisha: “When the Prophet became seriously ill and his disease became aggravated he asked for permission from his wives to be nursed in my house and he was allowed. He came out with the help of two men and his legs were dragging on the ground. He was between Al-`Abbas and another man.” ‘Ubaidullah said, “I told Ibn `Abbas what `Aisha had narrated and he said, ‘Do you know who was the (second) man whose name `Aisha did not mention'” I said, ‘No.’ Ibn `Abbas said, ‘He was `Ali Ibn Abi Talib.’ “

[25] It was narrated from ‘Aishah, may Allah be pleased with her, that the wives of the Prophet “gathered around him and said: “Which of us will be the first to following you (in death)?” He said: “The one of you who has the longest arms.” They took a stick and started to measure their arms. But Sawdah was the first one to follow him. She was the one who had the longest arms, because she used to give in charity a great deal.

Narrated `Aisha: Some of the wives of the Prophet asked him, “Who amongst us will be the first to follow you (i.e. die after you)?” He said, “Whoever has the longest hand.” So they started measuring their hands with a stick and Sauda’s hand turned out to be the longest. (When Zainab bint Jahsh died first of all in the caliphate of `Umar), we came to know that the long hand was a symbol of practicing charity, so she was the first to follow the Prophet and she used to love to practice charity. (Sauda died later in the caliphate of Muawiya).

What are you saying?” I replied, “We are with God’s messenger and he reminds us of hell and paradise making us almost seem to see them, then when we go out and leave God’s messenger we have dealings with our wives, our children and our properties and forget much.” On hearing this Abu Bakr said, “I swear by God that I have the same kind of experience.” He and I then went to visit God’s messenger, and I said, “Hanzala has become a hypocrite, messenger of God.” He asked what I meant by that and I replied, “Messenger of God, we are with you when you are reminding us of hell and paradise and making us almost seem to see them, then when we go out and leave you we have dealings with our wives, our children and our properties and forget much.” God’s messenger replied, “By Him in whose hand my soul is, if you were to continue in what you have been engaged in with me and in remembering God, the angles would shake hands with you when you lie down and when you walk about; ( i.e. when you are at leisure and when you are engaged in business) but, Hanzala, there is a time for everything.” He said this three times. [37] Hilal b. Usama quoted Abu Maimuna Sulaiman,* client of the people of Medina, as saying: While I was sitting with Abu Huraira a Persian woman came, to him along with a son of hers. She had been divorced by her husband and they both claimed him. She addressed him in foreign speech telling him that her husband wished to take her son away, and Abu Huraira told them to cast lots for him, saying that to her in foreign speech. Then her husband came and asked who was disputing with him about his son, and Abu Huraira assured him in God’s name that the only reason why he said what he had said was because once when he was sitting with God’s Messenger a woman came to him and said, “Messenger of God, my husband wants to take away my son, and he had benefited me and drawn water for me from the well of Abu ‘Inaba.” (Nasa’i has “from sweet water.”) God’s Messenger replied, “Cast lots for him.” Her husband asked, “Who is disputing with me about my son?” and God’s Messenger said, “This is your father and this is your mother, so take whichever of them you wish by the hand,” and he took his mother’s hand. (* Mirqat , iii, 536 says that while Sulaiman appears in all texts of the Mishkat , the correct form is Salman. Abu Dawud, Talaq , 35 (in the 2-vol. edn. Cairo, 1348 A.H.) has Salma (or Sulma). Darimi transmitted it on the authority of Hilal b. Usama]

[42] Narrated AbuSa’id al-Khudri: A woman came to the Prophet (saws) while we were with him. She said:Messenger of Allah, my husband, Safwan ibn al-Mu’attal, beats me when I pray, and makes me break my fast when I keep a fast, and he does not offer the dawn prayer until the sun rises. He asked Safwan, who was present, about what she had said. He replied: Messenger of Allah, as for her statement “he beats me when I pray”, she recites two surahs (during prayer) and I have prohibited her (to do so). He (the Prophet) said: If one surah is recited (during prayer), that is sufficient for the people. (Safwan continued:) As regards her saying “he makes me break my fast,” she does on fasting; I am a young man, I cannot restrain myself. The Messenger of Allah (saws) said on that day: A woman should not fast except with the permission of her husband. (Safwan said:) As for her statement that I do not pray until the sun rises, we are a people belonging to a class, and that (our profession of supplying water) is already known about us. We do not awake until the sun rises. He said: When you awake, offer your prayer.

Enter praiseworthy and receive the glad tidings of mercy and fragrance and a Lord Who is not angry.’ And this is repeated until it is brought to the heaven above which is Allah. But if the man was evil, they say: ‘Come out O evil soul that was in an evil body. Come out blameworthy, and receive the tidings of boiling water and the discharge of dirty wounds,’ and other torments of similar kind, all together. And this is repeated until it comes out, then it is taken up to heaven and it is not opened for it.
